The Steelers activated Springs off the Reserve/COVID 19 list before waiving him Monday.
Springs was an XFL signing by the Steelers after the league was folded in its inaugural season. The 24-year-old will look for a depth role elsewhere after hauling in just two interceptions over his four-year college career at Oregon.

Steelers' Arrion Springs: Placed on COVID-19 list
The Steelers have placed Springs on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Per the team's announcement, the NFL created the list for players who either test positive for COVID-19 or who have been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person(s). Springs joined the Steelers in April after the XFL folded. Prior to that, the defensive back had been playing for the Los Angeles Wildcats.

Steelers' Arrion Springs: Gets chance in Pittsburgh
The Steelers signed Springs to a one-year contract Thursday, Joe Rutter of TribLive.com reports.
Springs has yet to appear in NFL action since going undrafted out of Oregon in 2018. For any shot at making the Steelers' 53-man roster, he'll almost certainly have to carve out a role on special teams.

Arrion Springs: Signed to Saints' practice squad
The Saints signed Springs to their practice squad Tuesday, Nick Underhill of The New Orleans Advocate reports.
Springs was recently with the Chiefs, but was cut from their practice squad on Sept. 18. The former Oregon product went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft.
