Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Thriving as Mahomes' WR1
Rice caught five of six targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-25 win over the Bengals.
Most of Rice's production came on a 44-yard touchdown reception down the sideline in the second quarter. He had a 21-yard catch on fourth down erased by a penalty on the game's final possession, but Rice drew a 29-yard pass interference call on the next play to set up Harrison Butker's game-winning 51-yard field goal. Heading into a Week 3 trip to Atlanta for SNF, Rice is the clear top option in a Chiefs wide receiver room that will be without Hollywood Brown (shoulder) for the rest of the regular season.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Eclipses century mark in win
Rice secured seven of nine targets for 103 yards in the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night.
Rice led the Chiefs across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets during the hard-fought season-opening battle. The second-year receiver looked every bit the part of the No. 1 receiver he evolved into as a rookie, and he brought in catches of 11, 16, 19 and 33 yards during the night. Rice looked explosive on each reception and appears well-equipped to build on his strong start against the Bengals in a Week 2 home matchup on Sunday, Sept. 15.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Leading receiver group
Rice will lead Kansas City's receiving corps Thursday against the Ravens, while teammate Marquise Brown (shoulder) has been ruled out.
Rice's fantasy stock tumbled after an alleged hit-and-run incident in March led to a slew of legal charges, but he's avoided the commissioner's exempt list and may even avoid a league suspension until 2025. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes shouldn't lack for capable pass catchers even with Brown out of the lineup for a week or two, as the Chiefs also have rookie wideout Xavier Worthy and veteran tight end Travis Kelce available. Nate Taylor of The Athletic suggests that the team expects Rice to have more of an impact on deep and intermediate routes this season, after his rookie-year success was largely built on catching short passes and gaining yards after the catch.
