Overshown tallied eight tackles (seven solo) and one pass defended during Sunday's 20-17 win over the Steelers.
Overshown had the second-most tackles for the Cowboys on Sunday behind Eric Kendricks (10). For the first time this season, Overshown played every defensive snap, and he's emerged as an integral piece of Mike Zimmer's defense. Overshown registered six tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 28-25 loss to the Ravens.
Overshown saw the field for a season-high 46 defensive snaps, and much of his responsibility was playing in the spy role on Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Leading tackler in Week 1 win
Overshown recorded a team-high 11 tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's win over the Browns.
The Cowboys' defense simply overwhelmed the Browns' offense, and Overshown's speed was on full display on his sack, as he closed on a scrambling Deshaun Watson too quickly for the QB to react and get rid of the ball. Overshown, a third-round pick in 2023, missed his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL, but he is 100 percent healthy to begin 2024 and figures to have a significant role in Mike Zimmer's defense.

Overshown (hip) was not listed on the Cowboys' injury report Wednesday, Nick Harris of the team's official site reports.
Overshown has been nursing a hip pointer injury since mid-August, but the 2023 third-round pick appears to be healthy enough to participate in team drills. He missed his rookie season due to a torn ACL injury, and he's slated to begin the year in a depth linebacker role behind starters Marist Liufau, Eric Kendricks and Damone Clark.

Overshown (knee) is healthy once again, Nick Harris of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Overshown was a third-round pick last year, but he missed the entirety of his rookie season due to a torn ACL. The 23-year-old will look to make his NFL debut once the season begins, and he should compete with 2024 third-round pick Marist Liufau for a starting role alongside Eric Kendricks and Damone Clark.

Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Still rehabbing
Overshown (knee) is working with a rehab group off to the side during OTAs, Nick Harris of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Overshown sustained a ruptured ACL back in August and had to sit out his entire rookie season as a result. With Leighton Vander Esch now retired and Rashaan Evans a free agent, Overshown should have a chance to earn a significant role at linebacker this season, provided he continues to recover at his current rate.

Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Recovery going well
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Overshown (knee) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from the ACL tear he suffered last August, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The 2023 third-round pick was slated to have a big role in the Cowboys linebacker corps before tearing his ACL during Dallas' second preseason game. During Overshown's final collegiate season at Texas, he recorded 96 total tackles, four sacks and five pass breakups. The Cowboys added veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks earlier in the offseason, but Overshown could still see plenty of playing time once he returns to the field.
