  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Week 8 Waiver Priority List

Bateman had a big game Monday night at Tampa Bay with four catches for 121 yards and a touchdown on four targets. He's now scored at least 11.1 PPR points in three games in a row, with two touchdowns over that span. He's likely going to be a touchdown-dependent Fantasy receiver, but he's attached to Lamar Jackson, which makes Bateman more valuable. He's worth adding in all leagues for 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Week 8 Adds (WR Preview)

Bateman is finally turning all that separation into Fantasy production. He has three straight games with at least 11 PPR Fantasy points, and he's topped 15 points in two of those games. At 13.1 yards per target, Bateman has been one of the most efficient wide receivers in the NFL, but the fact that he doesn't have more than four catches in a game this season means he's better in leagues that don't reward a full point per reception.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Makes most of four targets

Bateman caught all four of his targets for 121 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 41-31 win over the Buccaneers. Nobody on the Ravens saw more than four targets as Lamar Jackson spread the wealth en route to five touchdown passes, but Bateman made the most of his opportunities with a 59-yard catch in the second quarter and a 49-yard touchdown reception in the third. Bateman has yet to record more than four catches in a game this season, but he's averaging a robust 18.8 yards per reception and has scored in three of his last five games. Up next for Bateman and the Ravens is a trip to Cleveland in Week 8.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Four grabs in Sunday's win

Bateman caught all four of his targets for 71 yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over the Commanders. Zay Flowers led the Ravens in receiving with a 9-132-0 line on nine targets, but Bateman made an impact with his limited looks. The receiving yards were a season high for the fourth-year wideout, but he's seen more than five targets in a game only once in four weeks. Bateman could be a factor again in a potentially high-scoring Week 7 clash with the Buccaneers.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Good to go for favorable matchup

Bateman (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders. Bateman had some soreness coming out of Baltimore's Week 5 win over the Bengals, but he steadily increased his activity level throughout the week and was a full participant Friday. He'll slot into his usual role as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Zay Flowers against a generous Washington secondary that has allowed a league-high 10 receiving touchdowns to wide receivers.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Bothered by groin injury

Bateman didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury. Bateman handled a typical role in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win at Cincinnati, playing 62 percent of the Ravens' offensive snaps and running a route 77 percent of the time while catching four passes for a season-high 58 yards and a touchdown on a season-high eight targets. Practice reports the next couple days should provide a better hint if Bateman is truly at risk of missing Sunday's home game against the Commanders. Head coach John Harbaugh seemed to downplay the injury Wednesday, noting that Bateman and others were merely dealing with normal "after-game type of things," per Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Best game of season Sunday

Bateman caught four of eight targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 win over the Bengals. Bateman's role is settling in -- he played 63 percent of the snaps, marking the third week in a row with a snap share north of 60 percent. However, he was far more active this week, as he set season highs in targets, catches and yards. History suggests that there won't be many weeks where Baltimore is going to the air over 40 times, though it's not out of the question for the Week 6 game against Washington, which is expected to be the highest-scoring matchup of the week. With that in mind, Bateman could be a viable waiver-wire candidate for teams in need of a bye-week replacement.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Records one target in win

Bateman caught his lone target for a 23-yard gain in Sunday's win over the Bills. Bateman nearly scored a touchdown for a second straight week, but he was held by a Buffalo defensive back in the end zone and was unable to come down with the catch. The 2021 first-round pick has played 62 and 65 percent of the snaps in recent weeks after playing more than 80 percent of the snaps in the first two games of the season. Baltimore has started to lean on the ground game and deploy more multi-tight end sets, and fullback Patrick Ricard also has been playing more snaps of late. For the Baltimore pass catchers, the run/pass splits and personnel groupings diminish the opportunities they are likely to see each week. Baltimore has thrown fewer than 20 passes in back-to-back weeks while riding Derrick Henry and the ground game. The Ravens head to Cincinnati to face the Bengals in Week 5.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Not practicing

Bateman (undisclosed) isn't practicing Tuesday, Bo Smolka of Press Box reports. Bateman will miss at least one practice after taking a hard hit to the torso Monday. Coach John Harbaugh downplayed the severity of the issue and suggested it's nothing more than soreness, which means Bateman should be back at practice quickly. The Ravens have hinted that he could take over as their No. 2 wide receiver all offseason, and it seems Bateman's still on track for that role ahead of 31-year-old Nelson Agholor and 2024 fourth-round pick Devontez Walker.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Looks good at Monday's practice

Bateman turned in an impressive effort during Monday's training camp practice, according to Ryan Mink and Matt Ryan of the Ravens' official site. Per the report, Bateman recorded a catch Monday while falling to his back, grabbing the ball off his shoelaces in the process. Additionally, the wideout made a few more solid catches during the session, while dealing with rainy conditions. The 2021 first-rounder drew the praise of head coach John Harbaugh, who noted that he is "expected to be a top receiver in the league for us." As the coming season approaches, Bateman could be poised for a breakout campaign while working as one of Lamar Jackson's top targets alongside 2023 first-rounder Zay Flowers.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Inks extension with Baltimore

Bateman signed a two-year contract extension Wednesday. Bateman was already under contract through the upcoming season in the final year of his rookie deal, but the Ravens had until May 2 to decide whether to exercise the receiver's $14.44 million team option for 2025. By reaching an extension with Bateman, the Ravens will no longer have to decide on whether to exercise or decline the option, as he's now on the team's books through 2026. The 24-year-old appeared in 16 of the Ravens' 17 regular-season games this past season, catching 32 of 56 targets for 367 yards and one touchdown. Despite Bateman's underwhelming production during his third NFL season, head coach John Harbaugh noted earlier in the offseason that he views the wideout as a candidate to "take a big step" forward in 2024, per Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site. The Ravens' pass-catching corps should look mostly similar in 2024 as it did in 2023, as No. 1 wideout Zay Flowers is entering his second season and standout tight end Mark Andrews is back in the fold, though Odell Beckham is currently a free agent and may not be brought back.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Step forward expected in 2024

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh reiterated Tuesday that he expects Bateman to "take a big step" forward in 2024. According to Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site, Harbaugh made similar comments earlier this month, noting that the 2021 first-round pick will be a starter in 2024 and is expected to take on more snaps. On the other hand, the Ravens have already re-signed wideout Nelson Agholor, and Harbaugh said he's also hoping to keep soon-to-be free agent Odell Beckham around. Neither Agholor nor Beckham would automatically block Bateman from a starting job, but both could be threats to his quantity of snaps and routes, just as they were in 2023. Bateman seemed to get open more often as the 2023 season unfolded, perhaps regaining some explosiveness with time after undergoing season-ending Lisfranc surgery the year prior. A breakout of sorts is certainly possible, but it probably wouldn't translate to much production in fantasy terms, given that the Ravens routinely rank near the bottom of the league in pass attempts and have wideout Zay Flowers and tight end Mark Andrews to account for a large chunk of the targets.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: One catch in win

Bateman caught one of four targets for 14 yards in Monday's 33-19 win over the 49ers. Bateman has now been held under 20 receiving yards six times in 14 appearances on the season. He's found the end zone just once and hasn't topped six targets on any occasion, making him a low-upside weekly fantasy option despite being attached to an MVP candidate in quarterback Lamar Jackson. Even with star tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) on injured reserve, Bateman still appears to be a secondary option in a passing attack headlined by rookie Zay Flowers, who drew 13 targets in Week 16.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Back at practice

Bateman (illness) returned to practice Thursday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Bateman missed Wednesday's session, but his return to the field a day later has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams. The Ravens' upcoming practice report will reveal whether Bateman practiced fully or was limited Thursday.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Held in check by Chargers

Bateman caught two of five targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Chargers. Bateman's usage ticked up in Baltimore's first game without Mark Andrews (ankle), but his production remained stagnant as he was held under 30 yards for the fourth consecutive week. He's played over 80 percent of Baltimore's offensive snaps over the last two weeks, so his role is solidified. However, Bateman continues to struggle to convert those snaps into bankable fantasy production. He has a catch rate of just 55.6 percent, which is in the 30th percentile among receivers. Baltimore is on a bye Week 13 before returning to action against the Rams on Sunday, Dec. 10.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Injures foot but should be fine

Bateman left Wednesday's practice early due to a foot injury, but head coach John Harbaugh said the wide receiver "should be fine" for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Bateman went down running a route early in practice with an injury to the same foot he had surgically repaired prior to the season. While the Ravens were initially concerned over the injury, they seem to believe the wide receiver should be available moving forward. Even so, Bateman's involvement in practices Thursday and Friday will warrant monitoring.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Catches two passes in loss

Bateman secured two of his four targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 33-31 loss to the Browns. Bateman played a season-high 74 percent of snaps Sunday, though his production left much to be desired. The veteran wideout continued his streak of underwhelming performances, as he is averaging just 22.8 yards per game so far in 2023. Bateman's role in the offense seems to be growing in recent weeks, but his increased involvement has not resulted in much production. The 23-year-old might see more volume if Odell Beckham (knee) is sidelined for a Week 11 matchup against the Bengals.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: In clear for Week 10

Bateman (back) was a full practice participant Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Cleveland. A mid-week addition to the injury report after the back issue rendered him a limited participant Thursday, Bateman took every rep Friday to clear up any concern about his availability for Sunday. While appearing in eight of the Ravens' nine games to date, Bateman has held a consistent yet unexciting role in the team's passing attack. He's drawn between two and five targets in all eight of his outings, catching 17 passes for 180 yards and no touchdowns.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Added to Week 10 injury report

Bateman was a limited participant at practice Thursday due to a back injury. Bateman was a full participant Wednesday, so the wideout may have tweaked his back at some point during Thursday's practice. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Bateman heads into Sunday's game against the Browns with an injury designation. If Bateman is out this weekend, added snaps would be available for Nelson Agholor and Devin Duvernay in a Baltimore wideout group featuring Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham.

  • Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Showing signs of progress

Bateman caught both of his targets for 34 yards Sunday against the Cardinals and added an 18-yard rush. Though the target volume remains underwhelming, Bateman is quietly turning a corner with his efficiency. In the three games since his tough outing against the Steelers in Week 5, Bateman has caught six of eight targets for 85 yards (10.6 YPT) and showed some burst after the catch in one instance Sunday. It's also worth noting that Bateman played 63 percent of the snaps Sunday, which was his highest mark since Week 3 when he tweaked his hamstring. A fully healthy Bateman improving his catch rate and explosiveness could pay fantasy dividends before too long. The Ravens host the Seahawks in Week 9.
