  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Leading receiver in loss

Ferguson caught seven of 10 targets for 71 yards in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Falcons.

CeeDee Lamb led the Cowboys in catches (eight) and targets (12), but Ferguson paced the team in receiving yards in his best performance since he racked up a 6-95-0 line on 11 targets in Week 3. The third-year tight end recorded two of his receptions with Cooper Rush under center in the fourth quarter after Dak Prescott (hamstring) left the game, and if Rush gets the start in Week 10 against the Eagles, Ferguson could see big volume again.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Does little with eight targets

Ferguson caught six of eight targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the 49ers.

Ferguson didn't get in on the scoring fun that the tight end position enjoyed on National Tight Ends Day in the NFL. Instead, Ferguson had multiple defenders swarming to him on each of his six short catches, none of which went for more than 10 yards. He has at least six catches in four of his last five games, so Ferguson figures to see substantial volume again in Week 9 against the Falcons.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Limited to 11 yards

Ferguson recorded three receptions on four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 47-9 loss to the Lions.

Even with the Cowboys forced to take to the air in negative game script, Ferguson was surprisingly uninvolved in the offense. He finished sixth in targets and fifth in receptions on the team, and his longest gain went for just six yards. While it was a down performance, Ferguson should come out of Dallas' bye week as a continued priority in the offense.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Goes for 70 yards in win

Ferguson corralled six of seven targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Steelers.

Ferguson continued his recent string of strong play Sunday, bringing his three-game average up to 6.3 receptions and 71.3 yards. The Wisconsin product has yet to hit paydirt this season after scoring five times in 2023, but he remains an integral part of Dallas' passing attack. Ferguson remains a startable option in all fantasy formats heading into a Week 6 tilt against the Lions next Sunday.
