Giants' Jacob Eason: Serving as QB3 on Sunday
Eason (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, but will serve as the team's emergency quarterback, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Eason was signed to the Giants' active roster Saturday after joining the team's practice squad Thursday. He'll be padded up for New York's regular-season finale and will only see the field if Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito sustain injuries.

Easmon rejoined the Giants' practice squad Thursday after being cut from the team Dec. 4. He'll likely operate as the QB3 behind Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito for Sunday's contest against the Eagles.

The Giants signed Eason to their practice squad Thursday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
The Giants just cut Eason from their practice squad in December, but with Tyrod Taylor now tending to a back injury, they've decided to bring Eason back on board as an insurance policy at quarterback. If Taylor is able to play in Week 18, it's unlikely that Eason will be active versus the Eagles.

Less than a month after bringing Eason onto their practice squad, the Giants have now decided to cut ties with him ahead of Week 14. He'll now have to look for another opportunity with a different team.

Jacob Eason: Added to Giants practice squad
The Giants signed Eason to their practice squad Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
With Daniel Jones (knee) done for the season and Tyrod Taylor (ribs) out until at least Dec. 11, Eason is needed behind rookie Tommy DeVito. Eason has appeared in two NFL games, completing just five of 10 passes for 84 yards and two interceptions with the Colts and Panthers.
