Murray provided 10 points (4-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and one block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 109-81 victory over the Lakers. Other than a handful of spot starts in 2024-25, Murray didn't present very much appeal. However, he did record his first double-double of the campaign Sunday. Murray averaged 7.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 28.9 minutes over his six outings as a starter this season, but he shot a dreadful 32.7 percent from the floor as a member of the first unit.... Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Promoted to starting role
Murray is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Warriors, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Murray will replace Shaedon Sharpe (knee) in the starting lineup. The second-year forward has logged at least 20 minutes in each of his last three appearances off the bench and should be in line for a sizable uptick in workload in a starting role.... See More ... Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Drops season-high 18 points
Murray supplied 18 points (7-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Sunday's 120-109 win over the Spurs. Murray played a significant role Sunday, pouring in a season-high 18 points. He has now played at least 27 minutes in two straight games, an indication that he could end the season as a prominent part of the rotation. With that said, prior to his last two games, Murray had failed to score in six straight contests.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Back to bench
Murray won't start Sunday's game against the Celtics. Murray drew a spot start Friday against the Nuggets, a game Portland surprisingly won in blowout fashion. However, with Donovan Clingan back in action, Murray will shift to a reserve role. He hasn't played more than 18 minutes in any of his last seven appearances off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Gets starting nod Friday
Murray is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Nuggets. The Trail Blazers will be depleted for this matchup, so Murray will get the starting nod for this contest. It's unclear what kind of role he'll have, though, as he'll start alongside Toumani Camara and Deni Avdija in the frontcourt. Murray is averaging 7.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game in three starts this season.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Heads back to bench
Murray is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies. With Toumani Camara returning from a calf injury Wednesday, it's not surprising to see Murray head back to the bench. Murray has averaged 3.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks in 13.2 minutes over his last 10 games off the bench, significantly reducing his fantasy value.... See More ... Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Records four steals
Murray closed Monday's 112-97 win over the Wizards with five points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and four steals in 37 minutes. Murray matched his career-high mark of four steals in the win, logging a massive workload in the process. This was also his third career game with double-digit rebounds. Murray is typically a low-usage role player for Portland, but he made the most of his spot start while Toumani Camara (calf) and Jerami Grant (knee) were sidelined. Murray is worth monitoring as a potential streamer in deeper leagues if Camara misses more time.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Moves into starting lineup
Murray is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Wizards. With Toumani Camara out with a calf injury, Murray will join the starting five Monday. It'll be the third start of the season for Murray, who has averaged 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists in 24.7 minutes as a starter.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Sliding to bench Sunday
Murray will come off the bench in Sunday's game against Cleveland, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. With Deni Avdija returning to game action from a quadricep injury, Murray will slide back to the bench. The second-year forward has received inconsistent playing time of late, averaging 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 16.2 minutes per contest in his last six outings (two starts).... Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Starting Friday
Murray will start in Friday's game against Brooklyn, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. The second-year forward will get the start with Jerami Grant (knee) on the shelf. Murray has received inconsistent playing time of late, and over his last five outings (one start), he has averaged 4.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Active and starting
Murray (quadriceps) is part of the Trail Blazers' starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Murray was initially labeled questionable for the contest due to a bruised left quad, but he'll be active and make his first start of the year. Jerami Grant (knee), Matisse Thybulle (ankle) and Robert Williams (knee) have been ruled out, so Murray should be in line for as many minutes as he can handle.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Iffy for Wednesday
Murray (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Nuggets. Murray is in danger of missing his second straight contest Wednesday due to a left quadriceps contusion. If Murray is forced to sit out yet again, Jabari Walker will likely continue to receive increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Won't go vs. Denver
Murray (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Nuggets, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Murray was initially added to the injury report as questionable due to a bruised left quad, and the issue is significant enough to hold him out. Jerami Grant (knee) is also sidelined, so Jabari Walker could pick up a few extra minutes in the frontcourt Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Questionable to face Denver
Murray (quadricep) is questionable for Monday's game against the Nuggets. Murray is in jeopardy of missing Monday's contest due to a left quad contusion. The second-year forward's potential absence shouldn't cause too many waves in the rotation, as he has averaged only 9.2 minutes per game over his last five outings.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Set to play Friday
Murray (chest) is available for Friday's game versus the Hornets, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. Murray has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday despite dealing with a chest contusion. The 24-year-old should continue to be one of Portland's primary bench options in the team's forward rotation against Charlotte.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Iffy for Thursday
Murray (chest) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Magic. After sitting in Tuesday's win over Miami, Murray remains iffy to suit up for the Blazers on Thursday due to a chest contusion. If the 24-year-old is downgraded to out against Orlando, Portland would figure to give Jerami Grant a heavy workload from the starting lineup, and more reserve playing time would be available to Shaedon Sharpe and Dalano Banton.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Probable to play Sunday
Murray is probable for Sunday's game against the Mavericks due to a sternum bruise. Murray was active for Friday's matchup against the Knicks after a two-game absence, tallying two points, three rebounds and an assist across 16 minutes off the bench. Even if he's upgraded to available Sunday, Murray shouldn't see enough minutes off the bench to be a factor in most fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Available to face Sacramento
Murray (chest) is available for Friday's game against the Kings, according to Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland. Murray will return after a two-game absence due to a bruised sternum. However, the second-year forward isn't expected to have a big role off the bench, so his availability shouldn't impact many fantasy decisions.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Now expected to play Friday
Murray (chest) is listed as probable for Friday's game versus the Kings. Murray is expected to return to action Friday after missing Portland's last two contests with a bruised sternum. If the second-year forward is further upgraded to available, he should operate as a bench option in Portland's forward rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Questionable for Friday
Murray (chest) is questionable for Friday's game against the Kings. Murray has missed the Blazers' last two games due to a bruised sternum. The questionable tag for this game suggests a decision on his status will be made closer to Friday's 10 p.m. ET tipoff, but even if he were to be available, he wouldn't make a significant impact in the rotation. Murray is averaging just 13.6 minutes per game across 16 appearances off the bench in 2024-25.... See More ... See Less
