Poeltl (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against San Antonio, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl will end up missing the final four games of the season due to a right hand contusion. Poeltl also dealt with a hip injury around the All-Star break, and the veteran center ended up missing 19 of the Raptors' final 31 games. He'll end his second full season in Toronto averaging 14.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 steals in 29.6 minutes per game across 57 outings.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play against Dallas
Poeltl (hand) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Raptors, Coty Wiles of RaptorsRepublic.com reports. Poeltl will miss a third straight game Friday due to a bruised right hand. Toronto will likely lean on Jonathan Mogbo and Chris Boucher to help shoulder the load in the frontcourt in Dallas.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Not playing Wednesday
Poeltl (hand) is out for Wednesday's game against the Hornets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl has been dealing with a right hand contusion, and given that the Raptors don't have anything to play for in the final days of the regular season, they won't risk the big man. His next chance to play will come against the Mavericks on Friday. In the meantime, Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo are expected to handle most of the minutes at center.... See More ... Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Iffy for Wednesday
Poeltl is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hornets due to a right hand contusion, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports. The right hand injury is a new concern for Poeltl, who missed Sunday's win over the Nets due to rest purposes. If the big man is sidelined once again, Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo are candidates for an uptick in playing time against Charlotte.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play vs. Brooklyn
Poeltl (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nets. Poeltl will sit out once again for the Raptors on Sunday, continuing the trend of the talented big man resting every other game. Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo will likely get more minutes on the floor in Brooklyn.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Back in action Friday
Poeltl (rest) will be available for Friday's game against the Pistons. The trend of Poeltl suiting up in every other game for Toronto continues -- he sat out Thursday's game versus Portland for maintenance. With this news, Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo lose some fantasy appeal for Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Out against Portland
Poeltl will be rested Thursday against Portland. The trend of Poeltl appearing in every other game for Toronto will continue. Presumably, Poeltl will be back for Friday's game against Detroit. In his absence Thursday, Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo could see increased roles.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Off injury report
Poeltl (rest) isn't listed on Toronto's injury report for Tuesday's game against the Bulls, Coty Wiles of RaptorsRepublic.com reports. Poeltl will continue his streak of playing in every other game after resting during Sunday's win over Philadelphia. Over his last six appearances, the veteran center has averaged 18.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 24.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play against Philadelphia
Poeltl (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 76ers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl's streak of playing every other game for rest purposes continues, as he will sit out Sunday in Philadelphia. Toronto will likely turn to Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo to shoulder the load in the frontcourt.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Ruled out against Brooklyn
Poeltl (rest) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports. Poeltl's streak of playing in every other game for the Raptors continues. Colin Castleton and Orlando Robinson will likely get more time on the floor as a result of Poeltl's absence, but the starting center should return to action Friday versus the Hornets.... See More ... Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Double-doubles in win
Poeltl ended with 21 points (10-13 FG, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 112-104 win over Washington. Poeltl recorded his 21st double-double of the season in Monday's win against the Wizards, as he continues to have a breakout season for Toronto despite missing many games as of late. The veteran big man is averaging career-high numbers in points (14.4) and rebounds (9.6) while shooting 62.5 percent from the field.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Set to play Monday
Poeltl (rest) will be available for Monday's game against the Wizards, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Poeltl missed Sunday's game against the Spurs and has been sitting out every other game for the Raptors lately. Knowing this, it's likely that Poeltl will be held out of Wednesday's game against the Nets if this trend continues. However, he's been productive when on the court, averaging 15.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks in 23.8 minutes over his last eight appearances.... See More ... Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play vs. San Antonio
Poeltl (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports. Poeltl has been in and out of Toronto's lineup lately, sitting every other game for rest purposes. With the veteran big man resting against the Spurs, the Raptors will likely turn to Colin Castleton and Orlando Robinson to shoulder the load in the frontcourt.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Supplies 18 points Thursday
Poeltl ended Thursday's 117-114 loss to the Warriors with 18 points (8-9 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 28 minutes. The veteran center has been getting every other game off lately for load management purposes, and he looked fresh in this road matchup after not having suited up since Sunday. Poeltl is on pace to post career-best averages in points (14.3), boards (9.6) and steals (1.2) on the season. However, with the Raptors remaining on the fringes of the race for a spot in the Play-In Tournament despite periodically resting their regulars recently, it's unclear whether the organization will reverse course on his cautious usage down the stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Good to go Thursday
Poeltl (rest) isn't on the injury report for Thursday's game versus the Warriors. Poeltl will return to action Thursday after sitting out Toronto's previous contest due to rest purposes. The 29-year-old big man should reclaim his starting center job from Colin Castleton against Golden State.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Will rest Monday
Poeltl won't play Monday against the Suns due to rest purposes, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl recorded 19 points (9-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Sunday's 105-102 loss to Portland, and now he'll get the night off during the second leg of a back-to-back set. His absence should clear the way for Orlando Robinson and Colin Castleton to cover most of the minutes at center.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Comes close to double-double
Poeltl had 19 points (9-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Sunday's 105-102 loss to Portland. Poeltl was rested Friday against the Jazz but was his usual productive self Sunday despite the loss, finishing just two points shy of a double-double. Poeltl has been rested in three of the Raptors' last seven games, and given the team is playing Monday against the Suns in the second leg of a back-to-back set, it wouldn't be surprising if he's rested for that contest.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Will be available Sunday
Poeltl (rest) is available for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers. Poeltl was rested in Friday's game against the Jazz, but his absence from the injury report suggests that the big man should return to his regular role Sunday. Poeltl is averaging 15.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game since the beginning of March.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Will not play Friday
Poeltl (rest) will not play Friday against the Jazz, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports. Poeltl will now sit out for the third time over Toronto's past five games due to rest and log his 16th absence overall this season. With Jonathan Mogbo (nose) also ruled out, Toronto will rely heavily on Orlando Robinson for Friday's matchup with Utah.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Cleared to play
Poeltl (rest) will be available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. After getting the night off in Monday's win over Washington, Poeltl is likely to slide back into the starting lineup Wednesday. Orlando Robinson should head back to the second unit after impressing in his spot start Monday, and Colin Castleton could lose some playing time after logging 27 minutes against the Wizards.... Ryan Wolstat@WolstatSun3H agoGrizzlies are a smart drafting team and trade to get Cedric Coward. I think he's going to be another steal for them. Agent is same as Siakam's so probably was never a likely option for Raptors even if they liked him.
