Martin racked up seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and three steals in 17 minutes during Wednesday's 127-121 win over the Bulls. Martin now has three games under his belt with Phoenix after a lengthy injury absence. He holds averages of 2.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 14.0 minutes in that span. He's worth monitoring in deeper formats in case his minutes continue to trend in the right direction.... See More ... See Less

Suns' Cody Martin: Cleared to play Monday
Martin (sports hernia) is available for Monday's game against Toronto. Martin will suit up for his second consecutive contest following a 24-game absence to the sports hernia. The 29-year-old guard made his return in Sunday's loss to the Lakers, during which he posted three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and one block across eight minutes.... See More ... Suns' Cody Martin: Probable Monday
Martin (sports hernia) is probable for Monday's game against the Raptors. Following nearly a two-month absence, Martin returned to action Sunday and tallied three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and one block across eight minutes during a 107-96 loss to the Lakers. After a small workload, he'll likely be available for the second half of Phoenix's back-to-back set and should remain part of the rotation, as Grayson Allen (foot) and Bradley Beal (hamstring) both remain out.... Suns' Cody Martin: Makes team debut
Martin (sports hernia) tallied three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and one block across eight minutes in Sunday's 107-96 loss to the Lakers. Martin saw his first game action since Jan. 24, when he suited up for the Hornets for a final time before suffering a sports hernia injury prior to being traded to Phoenix on Feb. 6. The Suns cleared Martin to make his team debut in Friday's 122-106 win over the Kings, but he couldn't crack the rotation for that contest. Martin didn't appear to be on track to receive playing time Sunday, but after Bradley Beal (hamstring) was ruled out for the game following halftime, Martin got the chance to pick up some minutes on the wing. Beal seems likely to sit out Monday against the Raptors, but if Grayson Allen (foot) is available for the second leg of the back-to-back set, Martin could end up getting squeezed out of the rotation.... Suns' Cody Martin: Upgraded to available
Martin (abdomen) is available for Friday's game against the Kings, Amanda Pflugrad of 3TV Phoenix reports. After dealing with a sports hernia, Martin is set to return to action for the first time since Jan. 24. The veteran swingman figures to face heavy restrictions Friday, so fantasy expectations should be tempered. Martin will be making his Suns debut against Sacramento as well, and he'll fight for reserve minutes with Tyus Jones and Ryan Dunn.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Game-time call for Friday
The Suns recalled Martin (sports hernia) from the G League's Valley Suns on Thursday. He is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Kings. Martin is officially listed as questionable on the team's injury report, but he hasn't seen any game action since Jan. 24 while on the mend from a sports hernia. The team should have more clarity on his status closer to tipoff.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Not playing Monday
Martin (abdomen) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Grizzlies. Martin remains with the G League's Valley Suns as part of his rehab process. He hasn't played since Jan. 24 due to a sports hernia.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Not playing Sunday
Martin (sports hernia) is listed out for Sunday's game against the Mavericks. Martin will remain sidelined while he continues to recover from a sports hernia, but he appears to be drawing closer to making his Suns debut. He was briefly assigned to the G League's Valley Suns on Friday, a transaction that signaled that he's been cleared to resume practicing.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Rehabbing in G League
The Suns assigned Martin (sports hernia) to the G League's Valley Suns on Friday. Martin has yet to make his Suns debut while he continues to recover from a sports hernia, which had kept him from playing for the Hornets since Jan. 24 before he was shipped to Phoenix Feb. 6. The assignment to the G League suggests that Martin is ready to practice again, so he could soon be an available bench option for Phoenix.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Out again Tuesday
Martin (sports hernia) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Clippers, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. Martin hasn't taken the court since Jan. 24 while recovering from a sports hernia, and the team has yet to comment on a timetable for his return. His next opportunity to play will arrive Friday in Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Without return timetable
Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer said Saturday that he had no update regarding when Martin (sports hernia) would be ready to play, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. "He's putting work in. I think he's making progress, but I don't have an update on his expected return time," Budenholzer said. "I think we'll cross that bridge when we get to it." After being acquired from the Hornets on Feb. 6, Martin has yet to make his Suns debut while he continues to recover from a sports hernia, an issue that cropped up in late January. A target date for Martin's return should emerge once he's taking part in full-contact practices, but at this stage of his recovery, he remains limited to light pregame work. Martin's absence looks as though it will stretch into March.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Remains out for Saturday
Martin (sports hernia) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bulls. Martin was recently shipped to the Suns by the Hornets ahead of the NBA trade deadline but has been on the mend for quite some time, missing 12 straight games. It remains uncertain when the 29-year-old guard will play his first game for Phoenix as he deals with a sports hernia.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Ruled out for Thursday
Martin (sports hernia) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Spurs. Martin's debut with the Suns will be delayed a bit longer. He is not ready to return to the floor and continues to deal with a sports hernia. The veteran guard was recently traded to Phoenix in a deal with Charlotte and will be a welcome addition to the squad once he is healthy. This season, he's averaging a career-high 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Likely out through All-Star break
Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer suggested Monday that Martin (sports hernia) likely won't be available to play until after the All-Star break, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. Martin had missed seven consecutive games while recovering from a sports hernia before the Hornets traded him to the Suns on Thursday. The 29-year-old wing has reported to the Suns but doesn't appear to have resumed practicing yet, so the team will likely hold him out Tuesday versus the Grizzlies and Wednesday in Houston to give him some more time to heal up from the sports hernia. Martin had averaged 24.8 minutes per game over his 39 appearances for Charlotte, but he'll likely to struggle to reach that level of playing time on a playoff-contending Suns squad.... See More ... Suns' Cody Martin: Won't play against Utah
Martin (trade pending) is out for Friday's game versus the Jazz. Despite being previously left off Phoenix's injury report, Martin is now listed as out Friday due to his trade from Charlotte still pending. The 29-year-old guard's next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Not on injury report for Friday
Martin (abdomen/recently traded) is off the injury report for Friday's game against the Jazz. Martin is not listed on the club's initial injury report after being traded to the Suns on Thursday. The 29-year-old could still be ruled out down the line, as he was just traded and previously missed the Hornets' last seven outings due to a sports hernia. Martin appeared in 39 regular-season outings (eight starts) for the Hornets before the trade, during which he averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 24.8 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Suns' Cody Martin: Shipped to Phoenix
The Hornets traded Martin (abdomen), Vasilije Micic and a 2026 second-round pick to the Suns for Jusuf Nurkic and a 2026 first-round pick Thursday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Martin had missed Charlotte's previous seven contests due to a sports hernia before being dealt to Phoenix. The 29-year-old averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 24.8 minutes across 39 appearances for the Hornets this season. With the Suns, Martin will likely compete for depth minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Hornets' Cody Martin: Ruled out for Wednesday
Martin (sports hernia) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bucks. Martin will miss a seventh straight game for the Hornets as he deals with a sports hernia. Josh Green may continue to get more minutes on the floor with the veteran guard still on the mend.... See More ... See Less -
Hornets' Cody Martin: Will remain out Monday
Martin (sports hernia) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Wizards. Martin hasn't played since Jan. 24. He doesn't appear to be close to a return, as he continues to be ruled out at least 24 hours in advance of games while he recovers from a sports hernia. Martin can probably be considered doubtful for Wednesday's matchup against the Bucks.... See More ... See Less -
Hornets' Cody Martin: Another absence coming
Martin (abdomen) is out for Saturday's game versus the Nuggets. Martin's absence streak will extend to five games Saturday due to a sports hernia. His next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Washington.... See More ... See Less
