The Red Sox recalled Horn from Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. Horn was acquired via trade from the White Sox back in April and has posted a 1.69 ERA and 19:9 K:BB over 16 frames during his time at Worcester. The left-handed reliever will be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game.

  • Red Sox's Bailey Horn: Headed to Boston

The Red Sox acquired Horn from the White Sox on Tuesday in exchange for cash, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports. Horn will recapture a 40-man roster spot as he moves from Chicago to Boston, though he will remain in the minors at Triple-A Worcester. The 26-year-old southpaw has yet to pitch in an MLB game, and his debut doesn't seem on the horizon after allowing 13 runs in 10.1 innings to begin the year with Chicago's Triple-A affiliate.

  • White Sox's Bailey Horn: Optioned to Charlotte

The White Sox optioned Horn to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday. Horn opened spring camp with the Cubs, but he was traded to the White Sox on Feb. 27 and has surrendered one run in five innings since joining the South Siders. The 26-year-old southpaw logged a 4.58 ERA and 1.53 WHIP across 53 frames in Triple-A last season, but a strong start in Charlotte could earn Horn a promotion into what projects to be a relatively weak White Sox bullpen.

Horn made 39 relief appearances at Triple-A Iowa last season and had a 4.58 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 59:29 K:BB across 53 innings.
