Padres' Fernando Tatis: Mashes monster homer in loss
Tatis went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Nationals on Monday.
Tatis notched just one hit, but he certainly made it count, slugging a 435-foot, three-run shot in the ninth inning. The star outfielder appears to be getting his power stroke back, belting two home runs over his past three contests following a 21-game homer drought. Tatis is still batting jut .125 (3-for-24) over his past seven contests, however.

Padres' Fernando Tatis: Blasts homer in win
Tatis went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Royals.
Tatis gave the Padres some breathing room with his two-out homer in the seventh inning. His slump at the plate had reached 15 hitless at-bats prior to the long ball, which was his first homer since May 27 versus the Marlins. In that 21-game power drought, he batted .237 and slugged .289, though his 15:13 BB:K in that span helped him get on base at a .383 clip. Overall, Tatis is at a .268/.357/.461 slash line with 14 homers, 34 RBI, 56 runs scored and 15 stolen bases over 74 contests this season.

Tatis went 4-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

The outfielder also continues to have a green light on the basepaths -- he's logged 15 steals this season, with seven of those thefts coming over his last 16 contests. Tatis is up to a .277/.356/.473 slash line with 13 home runs, 31 RBI, 11 doubles, one triple and 52 runs scored through 68 games. He looks to have put his quieter stretches from late May and early June behind him.

Padres' Fernando Tatis: Seems to be emerging from slump
Tatis went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and a stolen base in a loss to the Giants on Wednesday.
Tatis batted a paltry .184 in May, and he opened June with an 0-for-3 effort against the Pirates. However, he's looked better over his subsequent three contests, notching at least one hit in each game and going a combined 5-for-12 with two walks and three steals during that span. Despite Tatis' struggles last month, he still holds a healthy .830 OPS on the campaign, and he remains a dual power-speed threat with 13 homers and 12 thefts through 59 games.

Padres' Fernando Tatis: On base three times in win
Tatis went 1-for-3 with two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Giants.
Tatis helped keep the line moving as the Padres put together a comeback in the ninth inning. He's still in a bit of a rough patch at the plate, going just 3-for-21 with five walks over his last six games, though he's also logged three steals in that span. Looking back further, he has just one multi-hit effort in his last 21 games, a span in which he's hitting a meager .169 (14-for-83). This extended quiet spell has him at a .265/.340/.478 slash line on the year, and he's added 11 steals, 13 home runs, 28 RBI and 41 runs scored over 58 contests.

This was his first long ball since May 18 versus the Mariners. The outfielder is up to 13 homers, 28 RBI, 38 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a .278/.344/.512 slash line through 52 contests this season.
