The Rockies reinstated Blackmon (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.

Blackmon has been held out of action since he strained his right hamstring June 18 against the Dodgers, but he was able to recover quickly and will now return from the IL following a minimum-length stay. The 37-year-old outfielder had been heating up at the plate prior to getting injured, slashing .333/.397/.509 across 63 plate appearances since the beginning of June. Sean Bouchard (back) was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

Ozuna went 1-for-2 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-1 victory over Pittsburgh.

The veteran designated hitter faced Martin Perez in the third inning with the bases loaded and laced a bases-clearing double to push Atlanta's lead to 4-0. Ozuna kept his hot June cooking, as he entered this contest slashing .286/.369/.505 with five homers, 15 runs scored and 15 RBI over 103 plate appearances before this performance. The 33-year-old looks bound for his third All-Star appearance, as he's hitting .304 with 21 homers, 47 runs scored and 67 RBI total this season.

Pederson isn't in Arizona's lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics.

Pederson will step out of the lineup Friday as the A's prepare to send southpaw JP Sears to the mound. Blaze Alexander will fill in as the Diamondbacks' designated hitter and bat second.

Peralta is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Red Sox.

It's the fourth straight game on the bench for Peralta, though Friday's contest is the first of those to come against a right-handed starter (Nick Pivetta). Donovan Solano has been operating as San Diego's primary designated hitter, and it appears Peralta has been relegated to a bench role while stuck in a 3-for-23 (.130) slump. Bryce Johnson will make his fourth straight start in right field Friday.

Schwarber was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with a mild left groin strain, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Schwarber was lifted from Thursday's game due to groin tightness, but further evaluation revealed he's battling a strain. While the DH will be shelved for at least 10 days, there's optimism Schwarber will be able to return when first eligible. With Bryce Harper (hamstring) also on the IL, Nick Castellanos and David Dahl could see more DH work.

De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Phillies.

His bases-loaded two-bagger in the seventh inning tied the game at 3-3, sparking a comeback victory. Over the last 10 games, De La Cruz is batting .262 (11-for-42) with three doubles, three homers, five runs and nine RBI. The 27-year-old has 14 home runs through 80 contests, putting him on pace to shatter the career-high 19 he launched in 2023.

Schwarber was removed from Thursday's game against the Marlins due to left groin tightness, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Schwarber was removed in the ninth inning and replaced by Brandon Marsh. The extent of the injury will not be known until Friday.

Carpenter isn't in the Cardinals' lineup for Thursday's game versus the Reds, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

St. Louis will match up against left-handed starter Andrew Abbott on Thursday, so the lefty-hitting Carpenter will step out of the lineup. Willson Contreras will take over as the DH while Pedro Pages starts at catcher and bats ninth.

Blackmon has been working out in Denver and is apparently fully recovered from the hamstring strain. The veteran outfielder's return hasn't been made official, but it appears he'll end up spending only the 10-day minimum on the injured list.

Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the White Sox while also drawing two walks.

For the second game in a row, Ohtani crushed a leadoff home run to open the contest, giving the superstar slugger 25 long balls on the season and 11 in the month of June. He's now homered in five of his last six games and has posted at least one RBI in 10 straight, raising his league-leading average to .322 on the campaign. Ohtani has also drawn at least one walk in six consecutive games.
