Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Still nursing injury
Roy (foot) was a limited participant in Wednesday's voluntary OTAs, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Roy was placed on injured reserve in December of 2024 due to a foot injury, but it now appears he's nearly past the issue. The third-year pro appeared in just six games for the Patriots last season, logging 17 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, across 135 defensive snaps. Once the LSU product returns to full health, he's expected to serve as one of the Patriots' top reserve defensive linemen in 2025.

Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Lands on IR, done for season
The Patriots placed Roy (foot) on injured reserve Friday.
Roy last played Week 10 against Chicago, when he aggravated a neck injury and was forced him to exit the contest early. The second-year defensive tackle now appears to be dealing with a foot issue. Because a stint on IR requires a four-game absence, and the 3-10 Patriots have only four games remaining in the regular season while being already eliminated from playoff contention, Roy won't play again this season. He'll finish the 2024 campaign with 17 tackles (12 solo), including 2.0 sacks, over six contests.

Patriots' Jaquelin Roy: Remains sidelined for Week 13
Roy (neck) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Roy will be sidelined for a third straight game due to a neck injury he suffered against the Bears in Week 10. He was at least able to practice in a limited capacity all week, and he'll look to take advantage of the extra rest courtesy of the Patriots' Week 14 bye and aim to return in Week 15 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Dec. 15. Jeremiah Pharms will continue to see an uptick in rotational snaps on New England's defensive line due to Roy's injury.

Roy will miss his second consecutive contest due to a neck injury he suffered Week 10 versus Chicago. The 2023 fifth-round pick out of LSU missed the Vikings' final two games last season with an ankle injury, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue.
