    Analysis

    Saint Louis tied its season low with just 71 points the last time these two teams played, and VCU had a chance to steal it late in a game that was otherwise largely controlled by the Billikens. The Rams have also been playing some of their basketball recently, riding a 10-game winning streak with some solid defensive performances in the month of February. The issue here is how Saint Louis bounces back from a stunning loss at Rhode Island on Tuesday night. Perhaps an angry SLU squad is a team to be upgraded, especially playing at home where they are 11-5 ATS. My bet here is the opposite, and that Phil Martelli Jr.’s team is playing well enough to threaten for the road upset.

Filipowski should absorb the majority of the center minutes against a depleted Grizzlies team that’s allowed the fifth most rebounds to opposing centers over the last 30 games.

    Analysis

    Detroit is three games better than Milwaukee in the Horizon and has won four of five -- including a 76-63 victory in the land of "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley" on Feb. 4. The Panthers' season really went down the tubes when leading scorer Seth Hubbard went down in early December. Another key guy in Danilo Jovanovich hasn't played since early January. Obviously assuming neither returns tonight. Meanwhile, in Horizon-only games, the Titans lead the conference in three-point shooting (40.5%), field-goal percentage defense (44.0%) and three-point field-goal percentage defense (31.6%). Senior Orlando Lovejoy leads Detroit in scoring (13.6), assists (3.6) and steals (1.7) and is among the nation's top free-throw shooters (88%). Stay out of foul trouble.

    Analysis

    Purdue simply has to come out breathing fire after getting run by Michigan at home on Tuesday night. Mackey Arena was as loud as a jet engine and then the Wolverines had a 20-point lead by halftime before cruising in the second half and eventually winning by 11. Up next is an Indiana team that is not only a rival but just beat you in Bloomington last month. The Hoosiers have had nearly a week to stew in their 20-point loss at Illinois, so maybe there’s a little bit of rust getting back to game speed on that end, but really we’re eyeing Purdue making a statement early after such a poor showing out of the gate against the Wolverines earlier this week.

    Analysis

    The notion that a team could possibly go undefeated in the regular season and not make the NCAA Tournament is ludicrous to me. Sure, Miami's schedule is weak, but their fate shouldn't be determined on a fluky conference tournament if they lose even just one time in the regular season. They are 101 spots ahead of Bowling Green in the NET Rankings and already beat them by 10 earlier this season. I would be surprised if this wasn't another double-digit win for a team who is 17-6 ATS this season.
