NEWARK, N.J. -- Of all the players who could have scored the first goal in the Stanley Cup Final, Colin Fraser's name was probably near the bottom of your list. If you even bothered to put him on it.

Entering Game 1 on Wednesday night the veteran winger had never scored a goal in 17 career playoff games, and had scored only 18 in 291 regular-season games (including two this season).

But he was the player that opened the scoring in the 2012 Stanley Cup Final, firing a one-timer from just inside the slot to beat Martin Brodeur.
