Kalil Pimpleton: Cut from team
Pimpleton was waived by the Giants on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Pimpleton spent last season on the team's practice squad then re-signed on a reserve/future deal in January. He'll likely be a candidate for the practice squad once again after being unable to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.

Giants' Kalil Pimpleton: Gets call to active roster
The Giants elevated Pimpleton from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's wild-card game in Minnesota, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Corbin has spent the entire season on New York's practice squad, but this will be the first chance for the undrafted rookie to make his pro debut. He returned 48 punts at Central Michigan in college, so if he's active Sunday he may make a mark on special teams.

The Giants signed Pimpleton to their practice squad Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Pimpleton was waived by the Lions ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline, but he's found a new home with the Giants via the practice squad. Kalil Pimpleton: Let go by Detroit
The Lions waived Pimpleton on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Pimpleton, an undrafted wideout out of Central Michigan, has impressed throughout his first NFL offseason, but he finds himself among the first wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. Per Wilson, he's expected to garner interest from other NFL teams, but if he clears waivers, he'll certainly be a candidate to join Detroit's practice squad.

Lions' Kalil Pimpleton: Looking good at rookie minicamp
Pimpleton was "electric" in the open field during the portions of Detroit's rookie minicamp that were open to the media, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Only two FBS players with at least 10 punt returns averaged more return yards than Pimpleton did at Central Michigan in 2021. While Detroit just gave Kalif Raymond nearly $3 million for the upcoming season to presumably handle that role in Detroit, Pimpleton seems like solid depth to have on hand in case something happens.
