    The Buccaneers signed Hall to a one-year deal Tuesday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

    Hall will return to Tampa Bay, where he appeared in one game last season before landing on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. Now healthy again, he will look to contribute both as a reserve defender and a special teamer.

    Hall was ruled out for Week 2 against the Lions by head coach Todd Bowles on Monday with what could be a season-ending leg injury, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

    Hall was carted off the field during Sunday's 37-20 win over the Commanders after suffering a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula in his right leg. The Virginia product will likely be headed to injured reserve at some point over the next couple of days and begin focusing on his recovery and return, which most likely won't happen until the 2025 campaign.

    After spending the first four years of his career with the Jets, the 26-year-old cornerback has found a new home in Tampa Bay. Hall appeared in just nine games (two starts) in 2023, recording five total tackles and defending two passes, including one interception. He's expected to compete for a depth role in the Buccaneers' secondary throughout the offseason.
