The Cowboys lost Quinn, but they still have Micah Parsons, and we're still drafting them as a top three DST in Fantasy Football. That means you should be thrilled to land them in the final three rounds of your Fantasy draft. While the Cowboys had an offseason devoid of big additions, it could be argued that's just fine on this side of the ball. After all, the 2023 Cowboys led all defenses in Fantasy points, and were top five in both points and yards allowed. This should be one of the most exciting, and highest scoring defenses in Fantasy Football.

  • Cowboys' Gareon Conley: Picked up by Dallas

    Conley (ankle) signed a contract with the Cowboys on Tuesday. Conley will link back up with an NFL roster after going unsigned since the end of the 2020 campaign. The 6-foot cornerback was drafted by the Raiders in the first round of the 2017 Draft, but his career was partially derailed by lingering ankle injuries, which forced him to miss the entirety of the 2020 season with the Texans. Conley played 14 games between the Raiders and Texans in 2019, tallying 50 tackles and 13 passes defended, including one interception.

  • Jets' Takk McKinley: Added by Jets

    The Jets signed McKinley on Thursday. The 2017 first-round pick out of UCLA has struggled to find his place in the NFL, but he's been given a new opportunity by the Jets. McKinley most recently played for the Rams in 2022, recording just one total tackle across four contests (23 total snaps). Now that McKinley has inked a deal with New York, he'll likely be competing for a depth role on the Jets' defensive line as the offseason progresses.

  • Cowboys' C.J. Goodwin: Appears over pec injury

Goodwin had his 2023 campaign cut short due to a torn pectoral sustained last October, but the Cowboys still re-signed him on a one-year deal. The 34-year-old cornerback figures to spend the offseason battling for a role that would see him contribute almost exclusively on special teams.

  • Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Could start camp on PUP list

    Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Diggs (knee) "looks great" as he works his way back from a torn ACL but could still begin training camp on the PUP list, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. The 25-year-old cornerback earned consecutive Pro Bowl nods in his second and third NFL seasons before tearing his ACL in September, bringing an early end to his fourth campaign. Smith underwent surgery at the beginning of the offseason for an issue which plagued him during his rookie year, and he still seems to be bothered by it a couple months later. If and when he's healthy, he projects to play a significant role on Dallas' defensive line in 2024.

  • Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Still rehabbing

    Overshown (knee) is working with a rehab group off to the side during OTAs, Nick Harris of the Cowboys' official site reports. Overshown sustained a ruptured ACL back in August and had to sit out his entire rookie season as a result. With Leighton Vander Esch now retired and Rashaan Evans a free agent, Overshown should have a chance to earn a significant role at linebacker this season, provided he continues to recover at his current rate.

  • Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Limited in OTAs

    Diggs will be working on the side as the Cowboys open OTAs on Wednesday while he continues to recover from a torn ACL suffered last September, Nick Harris of the team's official site reports. Diggs suffered the injury in a Sept. 21 practice and saw his 2023 campaign come to an early end after playing in just two games. The Cowboys haven't reported that Diggs has hit any snags in the recovery process, but he'll still be operating under some restrictions in the spring.   • Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Recovery going well

    Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Overshown (knee) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from the ACL tear he suffered last August, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. The 2023 third-round pick was slated to have a big role in the Cowboys linebacker corps before tearing his ACL during Dallas' second preseason game. During Overshown's final collegiate season at Texas, he recorded 96 total tackles, four sacks and five pass breakups. The Cowboys added veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks earlier in the offseason, but Overshown could still see plenty of playing time once he returns to the field.

Per Gehlken, the star edge rusher will earn $21.32 million in 2025, but that salary may only serve as a placeholder before Parsons and the Cowboys are able to work out what's expected to be a lavish long-term deal.
