The Cowboys running game found plenty of success in their narrow loss to the Ravens on Sunday, and DeMarco Murray’s 93 yards on 14 carries were  a big reason for that. But Murray left the game with a foot injury, and now, ESPN Dallas is reporting that Murray suffered ligament damage.

The good news, according to Todd Archer, is that it’s not a Lisfranc injury that would cause him to miss the rest of the season (you can read more about those Lisfranc injuries, via CBSSports.com’s Mike Freeman).

The X-rays taken after the game were negative, but the Cowboys are still waiting to hear Monday’s MRI results.

Without Murray -- who, according to beat writer Clarence Hill, won’t play this Sunday -- the team will give its No. 1 running back spot to Felix Jones, who recorded 92 yards on 18 carries vs. Baltimore. If Jones isn’t healthy -- he had to leave Sunday’s game with cramps -- Lance Dunbar and Phillip Tanner would get the ball.
