Scheierman registered five points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and two rebounds across 14 minutes during Friday's 119-81 loss to New York in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Scheierman was able to make a rare appearance due to garbage time Friday. The No. 30 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Scheierman made 31 appearances in the regular season, averaging 3.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 12.4 minutes while shooting 35.5 percent from the field.... Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Bench role Sunday
Scheierman will come off the bench during Sunday's Eastern Conference quarterfinal-round Game 1 matchup against the Magic, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Scheierman started two of the last three regular-season games for Boston, with a 15-point performance in one of those contests. However, he'll revert back to the second unit for Sunday's game against Orlando.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Will start Sunday
Scheierman is in the Celtics' starting lineup against the Hornets on Sunday, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Scheierman will make his second NBA start in Sunday's regular-season finale. He's seen his role grow as of late and has averaged 6.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 16.6 minutes per game over his last 13 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Back to bench Friday
Scheierman is not in Boston's starting lineup against Charlotte on Friday. Scheierman made his first-career NBA start Wednesday and finished with 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 36 minutes in a loss against Orlando. The rookie first-round pick will retreat to the bench Friday as Jayson Tatum and Derrick White return to the starting five for the Celtics.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Making first NBA start Wednesday
Scheierman is in the Celtics' starting lineup against the Magic on Wednesday, Cody Taylor of USA Today reports. The rookie first-round pick out of Creighton will make his first NBA start due to the absences of Jayson Tatum (ankle), Jaylen Brown (knee), Jrue Holiday (shoulder) and Derrick White (ankle). Scheierman has seen his minutes grow since the All-Star break and should see plenty of scoring opportunities with the Celtics missing their top six players Wednesday.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Sees 21 minutes in blowout
Scheierman provided six points (2-6 FG, 2-6 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 21 minutes during Sunday's 124-90 win over the Wizards. The Celtics ran away with this game in a hurry, allowing Scheierman to see some minutes in garbage time. The Celtics have four games remaining in the regular season and have already claimed the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, so Scheierman may get more opportunities going forward if the Celtics rest their key players.... Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Plays well in win
Scheierman provided nine points (3-6 FG, 3-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 113-95 victory over Sacramento. Sam Hauser (back) and Al Horford (rest) both missed this contest, while Jayson Tatum (ankle) left the game early. Scheierman made the most of his opportunity with a productive showing on both ends of the court, and he's likely to get more chances to impress down the final stretch with the Celtics looking to keep their key players fresh for the postseason.... Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Returns from G League
The Celtics recalled Scheierman from the G League's Maine Celtics on Friday. Scheierman will be available for Friday's game against the Magic, but he hasn't made an NBA appearance since Dec. 2 and likely won't crack the rotation if the game is competitive throughout.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Returning to G League
The Celtics assigned Scheierman to the G League's Maine Celtics on Thursday. Scheierman hasn't made an NBA appearance since Dec. 2. The rookie guard should continue to receive increased playing time while in the G League.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Assigned to G League
Boston assigned Scheierman to the G League's Maine Celtics on Tuesday. Scheierman has played a total of 11 minutes in one December appearance for Boston, so he'll continue to supplement his reps with G League stints.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Back to G League
The Celtics assigned Scheierman to the G League's Maine Celtics on Sunday. Scheierman was recalled from the G League by Boston on Nov. 25, and he failed to score any points across his two outings off the bench. He'll go back to the G League to get some reps in. Across six regular-season games with the Maine Celtics, he's averaged 20.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists over 32.3 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Rejoins NBA club
Boston recalled Scheierman from the G League's Maine Celtics on Monday. Scheierman has been frequently going back and forth between the NBA and G League during his rookie season. On Sunday, Scheierman produced 16 points (6-17 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 27 minutes in Maine's 96-93 loss to the Capital City Go-Go. He'll provide some emergency depth for Boston in Monday's game against the Clippers.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Returns from G League
Boston recalled Scheierman from the G League's Maine Celtics on Monday. Scheierman isn't likely going to be a consistent part of the rotation at the NBA level anytime soon, so look for the rookie first-round pick to continue bouncing back and forth between the NBA and G League this season.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Goes to Boston to end first round
The Celtics selected Scheierman with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. A five-year college player between South Dakota State and Creighton, Scheierman is a capable scorer and a solid rebounder who is comfortable running the pick-and-roll. He does have some warts on defense, as he lacks length and general athleticism, but he might be one of the best movement shooters in the draft. That said, he'll have a minimal role in Boston this season and can safely be ignored in redraft fantasy leagues.... See More ... See Less
