Duren recorded 15 points (5-9 FG, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists over 25 minutes during Saturday's 125-121 loss to the Suns. It's the second straight double-double and 15th of the season for Duren in 39 appearances. The third-year center's production has taken a step forward since the calendar flipped to 2025, and through 10 games in January he's averaging 11.5 points, 10.9 boards, 2.2 assists and 1.2 blocks while shooting an eye-popping 70.0 percent from the floor. On the season, Duren's 69.3 percent FG rate is fourth in the NBA, behind Walker Kessler (72.0 percent), Jarrett Allen (70.9 percent) and Daniel Gafford (70.5 percent).... See More ... See Less

Pistons' Jalen Duren: Dominates paint in double-double
Duren supplied 17 points (8-8 FG, 1-1 FT), 17 rebounds and two blocks in 27 minutes during Thursday's 111-100 loss to the Pacers. Duren held things down in the paint for Detroit against Indiana, leading all players in rebounds and blocks while ending as one of three Pistons with 15 or more points in a double-double performance. Duren has tallied at least 15 points and 15 boards in two outings this season, recording a double-double on 14 occasions.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Strong defense in close loss
Duren totaled eight points (3-6 FG, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals over 31 minutes during Thursday's 107-104 loss to the Warriors. Duren's two steals tied his season high, and his three blocks were one short of tying his season high. Defense is the weak point of the center's game and a significant reason why his minutes per game (25.1) are down from last year (29.1). His play has been improved overall since the beginning of December, however, averaging 10.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks in 26.4 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Double-doubles in win
Duren ended Monday's 118-115 win over Portland with 14 points (7-11 FG), 12 rebounds and four assists across 27 minutes. Duren continues to be a double-double machine for the Pistons. The 21-year-old big man has 13 double-doubles on the season and three in the last four games, making him a force to be reckoned with in the paint. However, overall this season, his numbers have taken a step back. After averaging 13.8 points and 11.6 rebounds in 29.5 minutes per game during his breakout sophomore campaign, Duren is averaging only 9.6 points and 9.4 rebounds in 25.0 minutes per game this season.... Pistons' Jalen Duren: Owns glass in double-double showing
Duren totaled 10 points (5-9 FG), 14 rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 25 minutes during Friday's 98-94 win over the Hornets. Duren held things down in the paint for Detroit in Friday's outing, leading all players in rebounds while swatting a team-best blocks total and concluding with a double-double in a winning effort. Duren has posted a double-double in 12 contests this season, including in three of his last four appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Cleared to play Thursday
Duren (ankle) is off the injury report for Thursday's game against the Kings. Duren will suit up following a probable tag due to a sprained left ankle. The big man has appeared in four consecutive outings since missing the club's Dec. 12 loss to Boston due to a wrist injury, and in the month of December, he has averaged 9.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals across 27.0 minutes per contest while shooting 70.0 percent from the field in seven matchups.... Pistons' Jalen Duren: Expected to play Thursday
Duren is probable for Thursday's game against the Kings due to a left ankle sprain. Duren has appeared in four straight games since missing a Dec. 12 loss in Boston due to a wrist injury. The big man is expected to play through the minor ankle sprain, but he's scored in double figures only once over his last four appearances, averaging 10.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.8 minutes per game during that stretch.... Pistons' Jalen Duren: Records 17/11 double-double
Duren closed with 17 points (7-7 FG, 3-5 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists over 34 minutes during Saturday's 133-125 victory over the Suns. Duren logged his ninth double-double of the season and seems to be past the wrist injury that caused an absence last week. His 34 minutes on the court marked his second-highest minute total of the season, which is an encouraging sign for the third-year pro after logging a 26-game average of five fewer minutes per contest compared to his sophomore campaign.... Pistons' Jalen Duren: Owns paint in return to lineup
Duren chipped in nine points (4-7 FG, 1-1 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 125-124 overtime win over Miami. Duren returned to the lineup Monday after missing the previous game with a wrist injury, leading all Pistons in rebounds while concluding one point short of a double-double. Duren has hauled in 15 or more boards in three contests this season, and he has reached a double-digit rebound total on 10 occurrences.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Not listed on injury report
Duren (wrist) isn't listed on the injury report for Monday's game against the Heat. Duren will return to action Monday after being a late scratch ahead of Thursday's loss to the Celtics, which was his first absence since Nov. 10. Over his last 14 appearances, Duren has averaged 9.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 24.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Late addition to injury report
Duren is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Celtics due to a right wrist sprain. Duren is in danger of missing his first game since Nov. 10 due to a sprained right wrist. If Duren is ultimately ruled out, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Three rejections in Tuesday's loss
Duren recorded 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 20 minutes during Tuesday's 128-107 loss to Milwaukee. The third-year center has seen his court time and production take a step back this season, but Duren is at least making an impact at the defensive end. In 12 games since returning from a minor ankle injury he's recorded multiple rejections five times, averaging 9.6 points, 9.2 boards, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in 24.3 minutes while shooting 63.9 percent from the floor.... Pistons' Jalen Duren: Limited to 13 minutes in loss
Duren provided four points (2-2 FG) and two assists over 13 minutes during Saturday's 111-96 loss to the 76ers. Most of the starters struggled in this matchup, and Duren wasn't the exception -- he logged only 13 minutes, to the disappointment of fantasy managers. Duren has been far from the double-double machine he was in 2023-24, and he's reached that outcome just eight times so far. He's also recorded single-digit points in four of his last six appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Huge night on boards
Duren ended with 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-2 FT), 22 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 30 minutes during Monday's 122-112 loss to the Bulls. Duren lived on the glass all evening, securing a season-high 22 rebounds while notching his second straight double-double. The big man has now recorded double-digit rebounding performances in three of his last five appearances. Duren also had a strong showing on the defensive end, accounting for two of his squad's three swats.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Cleared to play Tuesday
Duren (ankle) is available for Tuesday's game against the Heat. Duren has been upgraded from questionable to available and will return to action following a two-game absence due to a left ankle sprain. Before his injury, Duren had double-doubled in two straight games, including a season-high 17 rebounds against the Nets on Nov. 3.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Chance to suit up Tuesday
Duren (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Heat. Duren has missed two straight games after tweaking his ankle in the first quarter against Charlotte last week, but he has a chance to return Tuesday. The third-year center was off to a strong start before the ankle injury, averaging 9.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks in 25.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Unlikely to play against Atlanta
Duren (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game versus the Hawks. Duren sprained his left ankle during Wednesday's contest against Charlotte and is expected to remain out Friday. If Duren is downgraded to out, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Best outing of season in victory
Duren supplied 13 points (5-5 FG, 3-4 FT), 17 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Sunday's 106-92 victory over the Nets. Duren dominated the glass in Sunday's victory, leading all players in rebounds while shooting a perfect mark from the field and finishing with the only double-double of the night. Duren, who also led all players with a trio of blocks, set a new season high in rebounds and has tallied a double-double in three contests this year.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Fouls out in 11 minutes
Duren accumulated zero points (0-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 11 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 105-95 win over the 76ers. Duren delivered a dud for fantasy managers, lasting just 11 minutes before fouling out. It's been a modest start to the season for Duren, coming up short of preseason expectations. However, he is locked in as the starting center and typically sees 30 minutes per game. Managers simply need to sweep this game under the rug and move on.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Perfect from field Saturday
Duren finished with 15 points (7-7 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's 124-118 loss to the Celtics. Duren finished just one rebound shy of opening the new season with two double-doubles over his first three appearances. One of the most promising young big men in The Association, Duren had excellent fantasy upside due to his solid two-way play and his established role as a go-to offensive option on a rebuilding Pistons team. Duren had a career-best season in 2023-24 with 13.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game across 61 regular-season contests, and it wouldn't be surprising if he improves on those numbers in 2024-25....
