Hart racked up four points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and three steals across 22 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 loss to the Pacers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Hart closed his 2024-25 campaign with a modest effort, scoring single digits for the fourth time in the past six games. After starting every game of the season, Hart moved to the bench for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals as Tom Thibodeau opted to run with a bigger lineup. While the move hadn't impacted Hart too much in terms of playing time, he was limited to just 22 minutes Saturday. Despite a heartbreaking end to the season, Hart proved himself to be a key piece for the Knicks, averaging 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 three-pointers across 77 regular-season games.... Knicks' Josh Hart: Double-doubles off bench
Hart supplied 12 points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes before fouling out of Tuesday's 130-121 loss to Indiana in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Hart came off the bench for the second consecutive game, with head coach Tom Thibodeau opting to go with both Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson in the starting lineup. Although Hart was able to record his fifth double-double of the playoffs, his supporting numbers left a lot to be desired. Game 5 will be in New York on Thursday, with the Knicks needing a victory to extend the series.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Shifts to bench Sunday
Hart logged eight points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Sunday's 106-100 win over the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Hart moved to the bench as Tom Thibodeau went hunting for answers, a move that on the surface appeared to pay dividends. Despite the demotion, Hart still delivered a balanced performance, sniffing what would have been his first double-double of the series. This was the first time Hart has come off the bench this season, a sign that Thibodeau is willing to try anything to ensure the Knicks advance to the NBA Finals. Given the success of the move, it wouldn't be surprising to see Hart coming off the bench again Tuesday in Game 4.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Coming off bench in Game 3
Hart will not start in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers on Sunday, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports. Hart will come off the bench for the first time this season during Game 3 and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Mitchell Robinson. Hart saw just 28 minutes in Game 2 after playing 44 minutes in Game 1, as the team went to Robinson down the stretch. Although Hart still figures to see an ample role, it is highly unlikely he reaches his season average of 37.6 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Could head to bench in Game 3
Hart might not be part of the starting lineup in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers on Sunday, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. Hart was limited to 28 minutes in the Game 2 loss on Friday, finishing with six points, six rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block. Perhaps most importantly, he's looked gassed throughout the series and has struggled to adjust to the Pacers' up-tempo style. If he ends up being moved to a bench role, Mitchell Robinson is expected to enter the starting five as his replacement.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Sub-par effort in Game 2 loss
Hart finished with six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 28 minutes during Friday's 114-109 loss to Indiana in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Hart played poorly in Friday's loss, which was arguably his worst game of the playoffs. Although his scoring cannot always be relied upon, his peripheral numbers typically make up for any offensive slip-ups. However, that was not the case, as he only logged 28 minutes. Hart will look to turn things around in Game 3, slated for Sunday in Indiana.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Triple-doubles in win Friday
Hart totaled 10 points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds and 11 assists in 33 minutes during Friday's 119-81 victory over the Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Hart was the only Knicks starter who didn't reach the 20-point mark, but that didn't matter much for the outcome as New York cruised to a comfortable victory. Fantasy managers won't be mad at Hart's stat line either. According to NBA.com, he became the third player in franchise history to record a triple-double in the playoffs since the 1971-72 season, joining Walt Frazier and Dan McGuire on that list. Hart's versatility makes him an elite fantasy contributor even if he plays a secondary role in the offensive scheme.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Solid output in loss Wednesday
Hart recorded 24 points (7-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds and two assists over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 127-102 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Hart not only led the Knicks in scoring in this Game 5 loss, but he also delivered his best scoring output of the entire postseason run. This was a huge bounce-back performance for the veteran, who had been struggling with his shot in his previous two outings -- he scored a combined 16 points while shooting 5-for-16 from the floor in Games 3 and 4. Hart is averaging 15.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game through his five outings in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Struggles with shot
Hart registered six points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 121-113 win over the Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. This wasn't Hart's night offensively, but he continues to do all the little things on the court that don't always translate to the stat sheet. Across four games of this series, Hart averages 13.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 blocks, 0.8 steals and 1.3 three-pointers.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Tallies two swats in loss
Hart posted 10 points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 34 minutes during Saturday's 115-93 loss to Boston in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Hart led the Knicks in blocks during the blowout loss, chipping in multiple swats for the second straight outing. However, he was inefficient on the offensive end. The 30-year-old forward has shot 51.5 percent from the field over three second-round appearances, though he has shot only 28.6 percent from three-point range. Hart has averaged 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks across 40.7 minutes per contest in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Fills up stat sheet in win
Hart ended Wednesday's 91-90 win over the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 23 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 43 minutes. Hart played a pivotal role in New York taking a commanding 2-0 lead. He filled up the stat sheet on a very efficient shooting night, finishing with team-high numbers in points (23) and blocks (2). This second-round series now shifts to Madison Square Garden for the next two games, with Hart and company having the opportunity to pull off the sweep of the defending NBA champions.... See More ... Knicks' Josh Hart: Doubles-doubles in Game 1
Hart closed with 14 points (5-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals across 45 minutes during Monday's 108-105 overtime victory over the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Hart remains one of the best all-around players for the Knicks, which he proved once again in Game 1 by making his presence felt on both ends of the floor. The veteran forward was the second-best rebounder on the team during this series opener, finishing two boards shy of Karl-Anthony Towns' total of 13. This marks the third time Hart has recorded a double-double during the 2025 NBA playoffs.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Another double-double Thursday
Hart registered 13 points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one block across 35 minutes during Thursday's 116-113 victory over Detroit in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Hart racked up his third double-double of the postseason, once again playing a key role on both ends of the floor. Thursday's victory sees the Knicks advance to the second round of the playoffs, where they will face the Celtics. Look for Hart to continue serving as a jack-of-all-trades as New York looks to upset a highly-fancied Boston outfit.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Quality outing not enough
Hart tallied 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals in 36 minutes during Tuesday's Game 5 against the Pistons. Hart made a positive impact on both the offensive and defensive ends Tuesday but wasn't able to prevent a narrow loss. Hart took a hard fall with 2:57 remaining in the fourth quarter and went back to the locker room, only to return to action with 0:27 left in the game. The 30-year-old forward appears to have avoided a serious injury and should be able to suit up for Game 6 on Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Well-rounded outing in victory
Hart finished Thursday's 118-116 win over the Pistons in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), 11 rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one block in 41 minutes. Hart scored fewer than 10 points for the first time this series, though he led the Knicks in rebounds during a well-rounded effort. The 30-year-old also tied Jalen Brunson for the team-high mark in assists. The eighth-year forward is averaging 9.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.0 steals across 37.0 minutes per game during the first round. Hart and the Knicks will look to take a 3-1 series lead in Detroit on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Struggles in Game 2 loss
Hart recorded 10 points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal over 40 minutes during Monday's 100-94 loss to the Pistons in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Hart is known for filling up the stat sheet on a nightly basis. However, that wasn't the case for the versatile veteran Monday, as he made the fewest field goals among New York's starters, barely cracking double digits, which was primarily due to his trips to the free-throw line.... Knicks' Josh Hart: Off injury report vs. Detroit
Hart (knee) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Pistons. Hart will return to game action after missing the Knicks' regular-season finale due to right knee injury management. Over his last five outings, the 30-year-old has averaged 12.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 2.2 steals across 37.8 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Available to play
Hart, who missed Sunday's regular-season finale against the Nets due to right knee injury management, is expected to play in Saturday's Game 1 against the Pistons. Hart and every New York starter not named Mikal Bridges sat out of the regular-season finale as a precaution. Hart was extremely durable in 2024-25, appearing in 77 games with averages of 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 three-pointers in 37.6 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Won't play Sunday
Hart (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nets, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports. The only Knicks starter who's going to suit up for the regular-season finale is Mikal Bridges, who'll likely only play a few minutes to maintain his consecutive-games-played streak. Hart should be ready to go for the first-round matchup against the Pistons.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Josh Hart: Nabs another questionable tag
Hart (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Nets. Hart could sit out Sunday's regular-season finale alongside the majority of the Knicks' starters. If Hart is ruled out, Landry Shamet, Pacome Dadiet and MarJon Beauchamp are all candidates to receive increased playing time.... See More ... See Less
