Lowe went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Mets. Lowe extended his hit streak to four games and snapped a 19-game homerless drought when he clubbed a first-inning homer off Griffin Canning. The long ball was Lowe's ninth of the year, and he's slashing .230/.293/.381 with 41 RBI and 22 runs scored over 276 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less

Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Three hits in Sunday's loss
Lowe went 3-for-4 with a double in Sunday's loss to the Rangers. The first baseman produced his first three-hit performance since May 3, accounting for half of the Nationals' knocks on the day. Lowe's homer drought stands at 19 games, but his bat may be coming around -- over the last 10 contests, he's batting .289 (11-for-38) with two doubles and six RBI.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Big day against D-backs
Lowe went 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's win over Arizona. The first baseman produced his second straight multi-hit game while drawing multiple free passes for the first time since May 7. Lowe has endured a tough May overall, slashing .212/.278/.298 through 115 plate appearances even with the recent mini-surge, but he's still come through with 13 RBI and 14 runs in 26 contests, and he appears to be building some momentum heading into June.... Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Rare two-hit game amid power outage
Lowe went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 9-3 win over the Mariners. It was Lowe's first multi-hit game since May 6, and he has just one extra-base hit over his last nine games. The veteran first baseman is hitting only .211 with two RBI and two runs scored during this period. Even with the power outage -- he has only two long balls in May -- Lowe has managed to log at least one hit in seven of these nine outings.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Launches eighth homer
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Orioles. The first baseman got the Nats on the board by depositing a Cade Povich sweeper over the right-field fence in the second inning. It was Lowe's eighth homer of the season, but he's been struggling to produce in May -- over his last nine games, he's gone just 3-for-33 (.091).... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Swats seventh homer
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. The Nationals managed only five hits total, with Lowe producing the team's only run of the day when he took Miles Mikolas deep in the fourth inning. It was the first baseman's first long ball in May, and while he's batting just .242 through 171 plate appearances in his first season with the Nats, Lowe is on pace for career-best power numbers with seven homers and 29 RBI in 41 contests.... Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Getting back on track
Lowe went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a walk in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies. Wednesday extended Lowe's extra-base hit streak to a modest three games, and it comes after the veteran slugger had gone just 1-for-19 in his previous five outings. Lowe entered the day with a poor 30.3 percent strikeout rate in 2025, but he's still slashing a solid .248/.325/.460 with six home runs, six doubles, 24 RBI and one stolen base over 126 plate appearances (31 games) this season.... Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Belts two-run homer Tuesday
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 7-0 win over Baltimore. Lowe got the Nationals on the board in the first inning with a two-run homer off Dean Kremer, though the former struck out swinging in each of his next three at-bats. It was Lowe's fourth homer of the season and first since April 4 against the Diamondbacks. The 29-year-old first baseman is slashing .293/.370/.500 with one stolen base, seven runs scored and 19 RBI across 92 plate appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Collects four hits in doubleheader
Lowe combined to go 4-for-7 with an RBI and a walk during Sunday's doubleheader against the Rockies. Lowe went 1-for-3 with a walk during the Game 1 victory and followed that up with a 3-for-4 performance during a loss in the second game. He's collected multiple hits in three of his last six games after going 5-for-29 (.172) over his previous nine appearances. Lowe is now slashing .295/.375/.474 with 17 RBI through 22 games.... Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Playing through infection
Lowe has been working through an upper respiratory infection, but he's expected to remain in the lineup as the Nationals' designated hitter in Sunday's series finale against Miami, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports. Lowe was scratched from the lineup Friday due to an illness, but he returned to action as the Nationals' DH in Saturday's 7-6 loss and went 0-for-2 with two walks and two RBI. The 29-year-old will remain in the starting nine in a non-defensive role Sunday and hopes to return to his usual spot at first base for Monday's series opener against the Pirates.... See More ... Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Comes through as pinch hitter
Lowe (illness) collected three RBI with a bases-loaded, pinch-hit double in Friday's win over the Marlins. The first baseman was held out of the starting lineup due to an illness, but Lowe looked plenty fit when he came to the plate in the eighth inning and put the Nationals in the lead for good with a two-bagger into the left-field corner off Anthony Bender. Through his first 13 games with Washington, the 29-year-old is slashing .261/.320/.543 with three homers and 12 RBI.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Scratched from Friday's lineup
Lowe was removed from Friday's starting lineup against the Marlins due to an illness, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports. With Lowe under the weather, Josh Bell will shift to first base, James Wood will serve as the designated hitter and Alex Call will start in left field. It's unclear if Lowe's illness is severe enough for him to be in jeopardy of missing the following two games of the series against Miami.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Punched out three times Wednesday
Lowe went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and three strikeouts in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays. Lowe struck out in each of his first three plate appearances (twice looking), but he didn't leave Wednesday's game empty handed after driving a double to right field in the ninth inning to bring James Wood across home plate. Lowe has gone 7-for-23 with two home runs and six RBI in the first six games of the season, though he's struck out 13 times across 25 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Homers again in win
Lowe went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Phillies. Lowe extended the Nationals' lead to five in the sixth inning with a 421-foot blast to dead center off Aaron Nola. The 29-year-old delivered a stellar opening series, racking up six hits, two homers and five RBI against one of the league's top pitching staffs.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Hits two-run blast in loss
Lowe went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a loss to the Phillies on Saturday. The first baseman connected for his first homer of the year, a two-run shot with the Nationals down 11-3 in the eighth inning. Lowe added an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, but it was too little, too late. In 2022, Lowe blasted 27 home runs for the Rangers, but his power numbers dipped to 17 and 16 in the two seasons that followed. Now with a new team, he'll hope to find his power stroke again in 2025.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Loses arbitration case
Lowe will make $10.3 million in 2025 after losing his arbitration hearing against the Nationals on Saturday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports. Lowe will receive $800,000 less than what he filed for, but it still represents a $2.8 million raise from last season. The 29-year-old slashed .265/.361/.401 with 16 homers and 69 RBI across 565 plate appearances last season with the Rangers. He was traded in December to Washington, where he should continue to see regular opportunities at first base.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Fuels comeback win
Lowe went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, three RBI and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Angels. His solo homer in the second inning put the Rangers on top early, and Lowe helped fuel a comeback later in the game after Texas fell behind 8-3, delivering runs in the eighth and ninth innings. Lowe is finishing the season on a high note, going 24-for-76 (.316) with 13 walks, four home runs, 17 RBI and nine runs over the last 22 games.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Goes deep Tuesday
Lowe went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics. Lowe took Mitch Spence deep to center in the fourth for his first long ball since Sept. 12 and his third this month. Lowe has now reached safely in seven straight games, though he has five walks and just four hits over that span. For the year, he's slashing .262/.359/.386 with 14 homers, 62 RBI, 57 runs, two steals and a 69:120 BB:K in 543 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Knocks in two in loss
Lowe went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's 8-2 loss to Seattle. Lowe delivered two runs on a fourth-inning single that gave the Rangers a brief lead. He's finishing the season on an up note, batting .321/.435/.446 with 12 RBI over 18 games in September.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Three hits, two RBI in loss
Lowe went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners. Lowe has five multi-hit efforts over his last nine games, going 14-for-29 (.483) with eight RBI in that span. The first baseman provided a pair of RBI singles in Friday's contest, though it wasn't quite enough to fend off the Mariners' late comeback. Lowe is slashing .269/.365/.395 with 13 home runs, 58 RBI, 55 runs scored and two stolen bases over 126 contests this season.... See More ... See Less
