Mike Puma@NYPost_Mets40M agoMets have recalled Jose Butto from Syracuse and optioned Tyler Jay. As we mentioned yesterday, Butto can serve as a multi-inning option from the bullpen. The Mets want to keep him stretched out so he can still start if needed.

Michael Baron@michaelgbaron42M agoRHP Bryce Montes De Oca is movingup from Double- A Binghamton to Triple-A Syracuse. Maybe he can be an option at some point for the #Mets bullpen. Also - RHP Shintaro Fujinami's rehab assignment is moving to Binghamton.

Michael Baron@michaelgbaron6H agoI’ve gotta say - when the #Mets first called Francisco Álvarez up, I thought he would be very good. But he is an absolute stud of a ballplayer, a lot better than I expected. He shut a lot of naysayers up about his defense too. They need to extend this kid.
