Milias went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's win over the Rockies. The Nationals took full advantage of a game at Coors Field, and Milias collected two of the team's 10 extra-base hits, including his first long ball of the season in the fourth inning off Dakota Hudson. Milias came into the game just 2-for-19 this year in the majors, and he's started just five of 19 games in June while working behind Keibert Ruiz.... See More ... See Less

The Nationals recalled Millas from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday. Millas will take over as Washington's No. 2 catcher, replacing Riley Adams, who was optioned to Rochester. Nationals' Drew Millas: Sent back to minors
The Nationals optioned Millas to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday. Washington no longer had a need for Millas as a backup catcher after the team reinstated Keibert Ruiz (illness) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. During his week-and-a-half-long stint with the Nationals, Millas appeared in two games and went 1-for-6 with a stolen base.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Drew Millas: Starting behind plate Tuesday
Millas is starting at catcher and batting eighth in Tuesday's matchup with the Dodgers, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports. Millas was called up Monday to help Riley Adams handle the backstop duties while Keibert Ruiz (illness) is on the 10-day injured list. Millas has made one start with Washington this season, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base in the team's 7-1 loss to the Giants on April 10.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Drew Millas: Sent back to Triple-A
The Nationals optioned Millas to Triple-A Rochester after Wednesday's loss to the Giants. The 26-year-old was called up ahead of Wednesday's contest and started behind the plate, going 1-for-3 with a bunt single. Millas was only promoted since starting catcher Keibert Ruiz was unavailable due to an illness, and Ruiz will presumably be available for Friday's series opener in Oakland.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Drew Millas: Summoned to big leagues
Washington recalled Millas from Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports. Millas will serve as a third catcher for the big club. The 26-year-old got a taste of the majors last season, going 8-for-28 with a home run in 11 contests.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Drew Millas: Launches first homer
Millas went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Pirates. Millas cut the Nats' deficit to 7-2 with the first homer of his big-league career, a 405-foot blast off Quinn Priester in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old backstop has hit well in limited action since he was recalled Aug. 28, going 4-for-12 with four RBI. Millas should continue to back up Keibert Ruiz down the stretch with Riley Adams (hand) out for the rest of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Drew Millas: Heading to Triple-A
Millas is being promoted to Triple-A Rochester, Grant Paulsen of The Athletic reports. Millas began the year on the injured list but has performed well at Double-A Harrisburg after being activated. He's slashing .341/.455/.537 with four home runs, 19 RBI, 14 runs and two steals over 25 games this year and will have a chance to prove himself in Rochester.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Drew Millas: Ready to join Double-A
Double-A Harrisburg activated Millas (intercostal strain) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports. Millas looks ready to make his debut at Harrisburg after the intercostal injury resulted in him opening the season on the IL. The 24-year-old checked out healthy after a recent 13-game rehab assignment at Single-A Fredericksburg, where he slashed .239/.386/.348 over 57 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Nationals' Drew Millas: Out with intercostal strain
Millas is out to start the season due to an intercostal strain, Sam Dykstra of MLB.com reports. The 24-year-old, switch-hitting catcher has logged only 86 professional games at High-A, so he will presumably open the year at Double-A Harrisburg when healthy.... See More ... See Less
