Blumel was loaned to AHL Texas on Monday.
In corresponding moves, Alex Petrovic and Derrick Pouliot were recalled from the AHL. Blumel was brought up from the minors Sunday for salary cap purposes. He has 20 goals and 38 points across 46 minor-league outings this season.
