Senga (shoulder/triceps) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Brooklyn on Wednesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Senga is slated to throw about 40 pitches in his first game appearance since he was diagnosed with a right shoulder strain back in February. The right-hander will require multiple rehab outings before returning from the 60-day injured list, but he should be able to make his first start for the Mets before the end of July if all goes well.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Scott will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to start Wednesday versus the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

While Mendoza didn't commit to Scott making additional starts in the majors beyond Wednesday, the opportunity would seem to be there for the rookie right-hander after Tylor Megill was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday. Scott holds a 3.90 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 27.2 innings in five starts with the big club this season.

Nimmo is absent from Monday's lineup against the Nationals due to a laceration on his forehead, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Nimmo suffered the cut when he slipped and fell in his hotel room Sunday night in Washington, D.C. He passed concussion tests and is expected to be fine, but the injury will cost him a start. It's not clear whether Nimmo might be available off the bench Monday.

Gonzalez (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment Monday with Triple-A Indianapolis, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Gonzales has been sidelined since mid-April with a left forearm strain but has been cleared for game action following nearly three weeks of throwing off a mound without issue. Given how much time he's missed, the left-hander's rehab assignment should be fairly lengthy, but a return from the 60-day injured list before the end of July is likely if he doesn't encounter any setbacks.

Scott is expected to be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to start either Wednesday or Thursday in Washington, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Scott had been listed as Syracuse's starter for Monday, but he was scratched from the outing for non-injury reasons. The Mets have already confirmed David Peterson and Sean Manaea as their starters for the first two games in Washington, so Scott could slot into the rotation as early as Wednesday while New York navigates a stretch of 17 games in 17 days leading into the All-Star break. Scott turned in a 3.90 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 27.2 innings in five starts earlier this season for New York. He's posted a 2.76 ERA and 55:12 K:BB in 42.1 frames covering nine starts with Syracuse.

Goodman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.

From June 15 through June 25, Goodman made nine starts at either catcher or designated hitter over a 10-game stretch and slashed .310/.333/.862 with five home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs. Despite his recent success, Goodman's avenue to regular playing time at either spot now appears to be blocked with the returns Elias Diaz and Charlie Blackmon from the injured list over the weekend. Goodman will take a seat for the fourth time in five games, and his starting opportunities could be largely limited to left-handed pitching moving forward now that the Rockies have regained health.

Nimmo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

With a tough lefty (MacKenzie Gore) on the hill for the Nationals and with the lefty-hitting Nimmo having started in each of the Mets' last 15 games, New York manager Carlos Mendoza likely viewed the series opener with Washington as an optimal time to give the 31-year-old outfielder the day off. Jeff McNeil will pick up a start in left field in place of Nimmo, who concluded June with a blistering .382/.485/.782 slash line over his final 14 games of the month.

Garcia is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.

With southpaw David Peterson on the bump for the Mets, the lefty-hitting Garcia will head to the bench in the series opener. Ildemaro Vargas will fill in for Garcia at the keystone.

Winker is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.

Winker is poised to become the Nationals' primary designated hitter after the club designated Eddie Rosario for assignment and called up James Wood from Triple-A Rochester to play left field on an everyday basis. The lefty-hitting Winker will begin the four-game series with the Mets on the bench, however, with New York sending left-hander David Peterson to the mound. Harold Ramirez will serve as the DH on Monday.

Kiner-Falefa was scratched from the lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Astros due to a left knee injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Kiner-Falefa played the full nine innings in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Yankees and wasn't known to be dealing with any sort of injury leading up to Monday's 3:07 p.m. ET opening pitch, so he may have hurt his knee at some point during pregame warmups. The Blue Jays will likely shed more light on Kiner-Falefa's situation later Monday. Kevin Kiermaier was a late addition to the Toronto lineup as a replacement for Kiner-Falefa, who saw his 13-game hit streak come to an end with an 0-for-4 showing Sunday.
