Garcia (elbow) threw a 25-pitch live batting practice session Friday, MLB.com reports.
Garcia took another step forward after throwing a simulated inning one week prior to Friday's session. He's expected to report to Houston's spring training facility in the next few days, where he'll throw two or three more live batting practices. Assuming Garcia feels okay after that, he's expected to begin a rehab assignment.
