The 2024 Paris Olympics officially came to an end with Sunday's closing ceremony. Once the Olympics were handed off to Los Angeles for the 2028 installment, hip-hop icon Dr. Dre performed with fellow rapper Snoop Dogg on the beach in the City of Angels.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dr. Dre revealed he wants to be involved with the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics in another capacity: competing in archery.

When asked about participating in the archery event, Dr. Dre revealed he's "deadass serious."

While it may seem like something out of left field, Dr. Dre admitted he's been an avid archer for a good chunk of his life. Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romell Young, even revealed he was a member of an archery team when he was in junior high school.

Dr. Dre took a break from archery after his legendary career as a rapper and producer, but he got interested in the sport once again when his son bought him targets and archery equipment for Father's Day.

"I have it set up in my backyard and I heard qualifying for the Olympics is 77 feet. I practice at 90," the hip-hop mogul added.

It sounds like Dr. Dre is committed to chasing a spot on the United States Olympic archery team. He's got four more years if he wants to make that pursuit a reality prior to the 2028 Summer Games.
