Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Rough day in L.A.
Kochetkov stopped 18 shots in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Kings.
The Carolina offense didn't wake up until late in the second period, at which point the team was already staring at a 6-0 deficit. Kochetkov had allowed just six goals while winning each of his previous five starts. He hadn't given up more than four goals in an outing all season, making Saturday's performance a write-off as just one of those afternoons.

Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Posts shutout Saturday
Kochetkov saved all 26 shots on goal in Saturday's 5-0 win against the Flyers.
Kochetkov tended his second shutout of the season to pick up a road victory in Philadelphia. Overall, the 25-year-old netminder has a 25-11-3 record with a 2.37 GAA and a .907 save percentage. Kochetkov has been nothing short of elite in March and is currently on a five-game winning streak. During the stretch, he has allowed just six goals and has posted a .948 save percentage. The only downside to Kochetkov's fantasy file is that he alternates starts with Frederik Andersen, so Kochetkov sees action just once every four to five days. However, the system is working -- Carolina is on a seven-game winning streak and has won eight of its last 10 matchups. Kochetkov is an excellent complimentary option in fantasy to deploy alongside some of the league's best netminders and is available in most formats.

Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Difference maker in win
Kochetkov made 23 saves in a 4-1 win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
Carolina coach Rod Brind'Amour was effusive about his goalie after the game. "'Kooch' was dynamite really. We didn't give up a heck of a lot, and when we did, he was there. So that was the difference in the game." It was Kochetkov's fourth consecutive win, and he's 9-2-2 in his last 13 games. He's in a platoon with Frederik Andersen, which will keep both men fresh. You need to have 'Kooch' in your blue paint when the Canes have him in theirs.

Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Support lacking Tuesday
Kochetkov allowed three goals on 30 shots (.900 save percentage) in a 3-0 loss to Winnipeg on Tuesday.
Kochetkov was far from perfect but certainly could have used some goal support to keep this one close. The loss saw the 25-year-old netminder's streak of six games without a regulation defeat come to an end. Since Frederik Andersen's return from a long-term knee injury, the duo has been splitting the workload, which means Kochetkov will likely get the nod versus Utah at home Saturday.

Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Keeps rolling Thursday
Kochetkov made 18 saves in Thursday's 3-2 win over Chicago.
Both Chicago goals came on near-breakaways as Ilya Mikheyev got behind the Carolina defense in the first period before Connor Bedard converted his clean look in the third, but Kochetkov got just enough support from his offense to make up for those lapses. Frederik Andersen's return from knee surgery has bumped Kochetkov back into a timeshare, but he's thriving with the reduced workload, going 3-0-1 over his last four starts with a 1.99 GAA and .921 save percentage.
