Trouba has picked up two points over 12 contests in March. The 31-year-old defenseman has largely filled a shutdown role with limited scoring potential, instead serving as more of a mentor for a talented crop of young blueliners on the Ducks' roster. For the season, Trouba has 14 points, 100 shots on net, 152 hits, 189 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating across 69 appearances between the Ducks and the Rangers.

Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Nets first goal for Anaheim
Trouba scored a goal on two shots, added three hits, blocked three shots and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Capitals.
This was Trouba's first goal of the season, and by extension, his first goal since he was dealt to the Ducks from the Rangers in December. The tally also snapped a nine-game point drought for the heavy-hitting defenseman. For the season, he's managed a mere 13 points with 91 shots on net, 133 hits, 179 blocked shots, 55 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 63 appearances. Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Blocked shots machine
Trouba blocked six shots in 22:31 of ice time and took three penalties in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks.
Trouba has played an important role for a Ducks team that all of a sudden finds themselves on the outskirts of the playoff picture. In a top-4 role on the right side of young stud Pavel Mintyukov, he's offered stability and bite to the defense corps and is a plus-2 through 36 games with his new team. The former Ranger is certainly capable of filling up the stat sheet, his six blocks Wednesday are proof of that, but the offensive limitations (no goals and six points with the Ducks) hinders his fantasy value.

Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Garners helper in shootout win
Trouba provided an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over the Kings.
Trouba ended a five-game point drought when he set up Brian Dumoulin's third-period goal. The 30-year-old Trouba is still searching for his first goal of the season, and it took him 29 games in Anaheim to match his assist total (six) that had he had in 24 contests with the Rangers to begin the season. The defenseman has added 84 shots on net, 111 hits, 148 blocked shots, 43 PIM and a minus-3 rating. He continues to see top-four minutes as a physical presence for Anaheim.

Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Set to make team debut Monday
Trouba is slated to make his team debut during Monday's road game against the Canadiens.
Trouba was traded from the Rangers to the Ducks on Friday, and he'll make his first appearance in his new uniform a few days later. Over 24 appearances with the Rangers to begin the regular season, he recorded six assists, 68 blocked shots and 39 hits while averaging 20:00 of ice time. Trouba is expected to be paired with Cam Fowler during Monday's matchup.

Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Headed to West Coast
Trouba was traded to the Ducks from the Rangers on Friday in exchange for Urho Vaakanainen (upper body) and a 2025 fourth-round pick, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Trouba hasn't been a factor with the man advantage with the Rangers this season, recording all six of his assists at even strength. While Olen Zellweger has served as the quarterback for the No. 1 power play for Anaheim, he could be in danger of losing that role since Trouba is joining the team. For his part, the move should benefit Trouba's chances of reaching the 30-point threshold for the third time in the last four years after a slow start to the season saw him generate just six points through 24 games to open the year.

Rangers' Jacob Trouba: Not playing Friday
Trouba will not be in the lineup against Pittsburgh on Friday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Trouba is reportedly going to either be waived or traded by the Rangers on Friday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic, though fantasy players will have to take a wait-and-see approach for now. A trade would be better in terms of the defenseman's fantasy value, as it would likely get him not only into a team's lineup right away but could open up the door for power-play minutes with a new club. Waivers would likely put Trouba's status in limbo for a while and could even include a stint in the minors with AHL Hartford -- neither of which is beneficial to fantasy players.

He was a rock in his own end of the ice, helping Igor Shesterkin to his 16th career shutout, and Trouba chipped in offensively with two first-period helpers. The 30-year-old blueliner only managed three goals and 22 points in 69 regular-season games in 2023-24, but his true value lies elsewhere -- Trouba's averaged 205.3 hits and 185.3 blocked shots over the last three seasons.

Rangers' Jacob Trouba: Fills stat sheet Sunday
Trouba logged two assists, nine blocked shots, six PIM and three hits in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Panthers in Game 3.
Trouba helped out on both of Alexis Lafreniere's goals in the contest. After those scoring contributions, Trouba committed the Rangers' last three penalties, but the Panthers couldn't make him pay for those mistakes. The veteran defenseman earned his first multi-point effort of the postseason and now has one goal, six helpers, 12 shots on net, 49 hits, 63 blocks, 20 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 13 playoff outings.
