Seahawks' Rylie Mills: Not close to returning
Mills (knee) is expected to be sidelined for another four to six weeks, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Mills has been on the reserve/non-football injury list since July and will have to wait at least another month before making his NFL debut. Once healthy, the rookie fifth-round pick could contribute as a depth defensive end behind Jarran Reed and Leonard Williams.

Seahawks' Rylie Mills: Starting career on NFI list
Mills (knee) was moved to the reserve/non-football injury list Tuesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Mills will be sidelined for the first four games of the regular season as he continues to recover from an ACL injury in his right knee suffered during his final season of college football at Notre Dame. Once healthy, the rookie fifth-round pick will likely work in a rotational role along Seattle's defensive line.

Seahawks' Rylie Mills: Placed on NFI list
Mills (knee) was placed on the active/non-football injury list by the Seahawks on Tuesday, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports.
Mills has been working his way back from an ACL injury in his right knee, and he'll now be sidelined to open training camp. The defensive tackle will be eligible to return to practice and play at any point in the preseason.

Seahawks' Rylie Mills: Back from ACL injury
Mills (knee) was getting "half speed work" in during OTAs on Thursday, Corbin Smith of emeraldcityspectrum.com reports.
The defensive tackle and fifth-round pick appears to be back after missing Notre Dame's final three games during the College Football Playoff with what was at the time an undisclosed injury. Since then, it's been confirmed as an ACL injury, for which he underwent surgery, per Smith. Mills should be able to compete for a rotational role on Seattle's defensive line.

Seahawks' Rylie Mills: Seattle adds Round 5 lineman
The Seahawks selected Mills in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 142nd overall.
Mills (6-foot-5, 291 pounds) might be upright enough that he'd fit better as a 3-4 defensive end than a 4-3 defensive tackle, but wherever he lines up Mills offers some amount of motor and disruptiveness after piling up 20 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks in his three years as starter at Notre Dame. It's possible that the Seahawks see Mills as a rotational player who mostly plays end in three-man fronts and a passing-down specialist defensive tackle in four-man fronts.
