  • Colts' Alec Pierce: Hauls in long TD in OT win

Pierce caught both his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-23 overtime win over the Jaguars.

The third-year wideout made an immediate impact when he connected with Joe Flacco for a 40-yard score on the Colts' first possession, but Pierce took a back seat to Josh Downs and Michael Pittman after that. Pierce put together a career-best campaign in 2024, posting a 37-824-7 line on 69 targets with a 22.3 yards per reception mark that led the NFL among players with at least 20 catches. While he's unlikely to ever see consistently high volume, Pierce proved he can be a dangerous deep threat regardless of who the Colts have under center, and a similar role in 2025 could lead to even better production if Anthony Richardson (back) takes a step forward in his development.

  • Colts' Alec Pierce: Tops 100 yards in loss

Pierce caught six of nine targets for 122 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 45-33 loss to the Giants.

The six grabs were a season high for Pierce, and it was the wideout's best performance since he posted a 3-134-1 line in Week 5 against the Jaguars -- a game which also featured Joe Flacco at QB for the Colts. Sunday's loss eliminated Indy from playoff contention, so even if Anthony Richardson (back/foot) is healthier, he could sit out Week 18 in favor of Flacco, which would make Pierce an appealing fantasy option in a rematch with Jacksonville.

  • Colts' Alec Pierce: All clear for Week 17

Pierce (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Giants.

After missing Week 16 due to a concussion, Pierce logged a trio of full practices this week and is ready to return from his one-game absence. He's a low-percentage big-play specialist who leads the NFL in yards per catch (22.5) but has just 29 receptions on the season, turning them into 645 yards and five touchdowns. Pierce averages just 2.1 catches per contest.

  • Colts' Alec Pierce: Practices fully Thursday

    Pierce (concussion) practiced fully Thursday.

Pierce, who was inactive for Week 16 action, was estimated as a full participant Wednesday, so his continued full listing a day later bodes well for his chances of returning to the lineup Sunday against the Giants. Friday's injury report will confirm whether Pierce carries a Week 17 designation or is cleared to face New York, by way of having cleared the NFL's concussion protocol.

  • Colts' Alec Pierce: Estimated as full practice participant

Pierce (concussion) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice estimate.

Pierce was inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Titans, but his full listing on the team's initial Week 17 injury report is a good sign that he'll be available this weekend against the Giants. If the wideout can maintain full practice activity for the next two days in addition to gaining clearance from an independent neurologist, he should head into this Sunday's game without a designation.
