Chiefs' Darius Rush: Picked up by Kansas City
Rush was claimed off waivers by the Chiefs on Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
After being waived by the Colts on Tuesday, Rush found a new home in Kansas City. The 6-foot-2 cornerback was picked 138th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft after he ran a 4.36 40-yard dash. He'll play a depth role in the Chiefs' secondary ahead of the coming season.

Chiefs' Darius Rush: Cut by Indianapolis
Rush (hip) was waived by the Colts on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old was dealing with a hip injury suffered during the Colts' preseason win against Chicago, but it seems as if he's moved past the issue after getting waived without an injury designation. Rush was a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, so don't be surprised if another team scoops him up on waivers.

Rush participated in the Colts' first training camp practice Wednesday after he missed minicamp with a hamstring injury. Coach Shane Steichen said the rookie fifth-round pick is now dealing with a shoulder issue, though he doesn't expect the injury will keep him sidelined too long, per Erickson. When healthy, the 6-foot-2 cornerback will likely vie for a depth role in Indianapolis' secondary during his upcoming rookie season.
