Cardinals' Dennis Gardeck: Shifts to IR
The Cardinals placed Gardeck (knee) on injured reserve Friday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Gardeck tore his ACL in the Cardinals' Week 7 win over the Chargers, so his shift to IR comes as no surprise. Arizona will now be without two of its top edge rushers in Gardeck and BJ Ojulari (knee) for the remainder of the season. Expect Julian Okwara and Xavier Thomas to both see increased work on the Cardinals' defense going forward.

Cardinals' Dennis Gardeck: Tears ACL, out for season
Gardeck sustained a torn ACL during Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Gardeck exited the second half of the game with the injury, and with the edge rusher confirmed to have suffered ligament damage to his knee, he'll miss the rest of the season. Through Arizona's first seven games, Gardeck had notched three sacks to go with 22 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble. Julian Okwara is the most likely candidate to move into the starting lineup at outside linebacker in place of Gardeck.

Cardinals' Dennis Gardeck: Questionable to return
Gardeck (knee) is questionable to return to Monday night's contest against the Chargers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Gardeck suffered a knee injury in the second half of Monday's matchup and his status for the rest of the game is up in the air. In his absence, Julian Okwara is a candidate to see extra work at strong-side linebacker.

Gardeck was limited in Wednesday's session due to a finger injury, but he appears to be good to go for Sunday's game against Washington. Gardeck has 10 tackles (eight solo), including 3.0 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble over his last two games.
