  • Caleb Shudak: Gets let go

Shudak was waived by the Titans on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Shudak came into camp expecting to compete with Trey Wolff for the team's kicker job. Ultimately, it appears neither will get the job, as the team has waived both. In a corresponding move, Tennessee has opted to bring in fellow kicker Michael Badgley, according to Pelissero, who is now the only kicker on the team's roster. Shudak will now work to find another opportunity.

  • Titans' Caleb Shudak: Locked in tight competition

Shudak and Trey Wolff are locked in a close competition at kicker heading into Saturday's preseason opener against the Bears, Joe Rexrode of The Athletic reports.

Wolff has made 46 of 51 field-goal attempts in camp, while Shudak has connected on 40 of 44 tries. Rexrode notes that Wolff has a stronger leg, which would likely break the tie if the two kickers continue to display similar accuracy, but how they kick in game situations during the preseason will likely be the determining factor as to which kicker ultimately wins the job for the Titans.

  • Titans' Caleb Shudak: Gets another deal with Titans

Tennessee signed Shudak to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Shudak signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa this past offseason. The rookie then landed on the reserve/PUP list with an undisclosed injury in mid August, and he was not activated by Tennessee until Nov. 26. Shudak made his NFL debut Week 12 in place of injured starting kicker Randy Bullock, going 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts while converting his lone extra-point try. The 25-year-old Shudak finished the season on the team's practice squad, and he'll look for another chance to make the active roster during the 2023 offseason.

The Titans signed Shudak to their practice squad Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Shudak, who made his NFL debut in Week 12 versus the Bengals because starting kicker Randy Bullock was sidelined due to a calf issue, was added to Tennessee's practice squad Tuesday after being waived Dec. 3. The 25-year-old likely won't be elevated to the Titans' active roster for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign unless Bullock is forced to miss any more time.

  • Caleb Shudak: Headed to waivers

Tennessee waived Shudak on Saturday, John Glennon of SI.com reports.

With regular starting kicker Randy Bullock back from a calf injury, the Titans saw fit to part ways with their fill-in for Week 12. Assuming he isn't picked up by another team during the current waiver period though, the rookie undrafted free agent could find his way back onto the Titans' practice squad.

The Titans activated Shudak (undisclosed) from the reserve/PUP list Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

An undrafted rookie signee of the Titans back in May, Shudak suffered an unknown injury near the end of the offseason program in mid-June and has resided on the PUP list since the early days of training camp. However, the team designated him for return Tuesday, and with Randy Bullock (calf) ruled out as of Saturday, Shudak will serve as Tennessee's kicker Sunday against the Bengals.
