Dissly (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bucs.
Dissly was injured last week against the Chiefs, but coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday that he doesn't envision Dissly needing to go to injured reserve, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. With Dissly sidelined, Stone Smartt is expected to handle TE1 duties for the Chargers. Following Dissly's injury versus Kansas City, Smartt was more involved in the pass game and finished with three catches for 54 yards on three targets.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Likely out multiple weeks
Rotowire
Dissly is expected to miss "a couple of weeks" due to the shoulder injury he suffered Sunday against Kansas City, but he's not likely to be placed on injured reserve, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
Dissly was hurt on the final play -- a 15-yard catch -- of the first half on Sunday Night Football, and he was unable to return to the contest. Subsequent evaluation has revealed an injury that is likely to sideline the tight end multiple weeks, but given Schultz's report that Dissly isn't expected to land on IR, there's a good chance he'll be able to return to action before the end of the regular season. While Dissly is out of action, Stone Smartt is in line to move into a starting role, while Tucker Fisk should see increased work as well.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Injured on final play of first half
Rotowire
Dissly (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Dissly got hurt on a 15-yard catch on the final play of the first half and didn't rejoin his teammates on the field to begin the second half. He caught both of his targets for 19 yards prior to the injury. More opportunities will be available for Tucker Fisk and Stone Smartt if Dissly is unable to return.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Sleeper TEs
Rotowire
Dissly had a donut in Week 13 at Atlanta when he had no catches on one target, which snapped a three-game streak of him scoring at least eight PPR points. I expect him to get back on track against the Chiefs, who are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Three tight ends have scored at least eight PPR points against Kansas City in the past five games, and Dissly should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues in Week 14.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Doesn't show up in box score
Rotowire
Dissly did not catch his lone target in the 17-13 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
The Chargers were content letting the Falcons beat themselves, benefitting significantly from Kirk Cousins' four interceptions. As a result, the offense overall was sluggish and ineffective. Quarterback Justin Herbert converted nine of his 16 pass completions to rookie Ladd McConkey, but the passing attack was otherwise a nonfactor. It's possible that the absence of J.K. Dobbins (knee) could have a dramatic difference on the rushing attack and therefore any threat of the play action, but it's hard to have any concrete takeaways when Los Angeles wasn't forced to take much action.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Week 14 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Dissly had no catches on one target in Week 13 at Atlanta, but prior to that he scored at least 8.0 PPR points in five of his previous six games. He has a great upcoming schedule against Kansas City in Week 14, and the Chiefs are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, followed by Tampa Bay in Week 15, which is No. 6 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Dissly also could benefit if Ladd McConkey (knee) is out against the Chiefs. Dissly is worth adding for at least 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Cleared to play
Rotowire
Dissly (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Atlanta.
Dissly was a full practice participant Friday, upgrading from limited participation Thursday and an absence Wednesday. He's caught four or more passes in six of the past seven games, averaging 4.6 receptions for 44.9 yards on 6.0 targets since taking over as the Chargers' primary pass-catching TE. Dissly already has career-high totals for catches (41) and receiving yards (399) but has scored just one touchdown in 11 games.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Logs limited listing Thursday
Rotowire
Dissly (groin) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday.
After he was deemed a non-participant Wednesday, Dissly's limited listing one day later has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. Friday's injury report will reveal whether the tight end is able to work fully to close the week, and in turn if he heads into the weekend with a Week 13 injury designation.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Corrals four targets in loss
Rotowire
Dissly caught all four of his targets for 47 yards in Monday's 30-23 loss to the Ravens.
Dissly settled back into his usual receiving role after popping off for 80 yards and a touchdown in his last outing. The veteran tight end still produced well enough for those in deeper leagues Monday. Dissly should remain an option in deeper formats when the Chargers visit the Falcons on Sunday.

Chargers' Will Dissly: TEs to Start
Rotowire
The Ravens are No. 10 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and that bodes well for Dissly staying hot in Week 12. Six tight ends have scored at least 10.8 PPR points against Baltimore this season, and Dissly will hopefully go above that threshold again. He's scored at least 8.0 PPR points in four of his past five games, with two outings of at least 16.1 PPR points over that span, and he has at least six targets in four of his past five contests. I hope he continues to be a go-to option for Justin Herbert in Week 12, and I like Dissly as a No. 1 Fantasy tight end in all leagues.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Week 12 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
It's officially time to take notice of Dissly as a starter in all leagues heading into Week 12 against the Ravens, and he's worth adding for 10-15 percent of your remaining FAB. He's scored at least 8.0 PPR points in four of his past five games, with two outings of at least 16.1 PPR points over that span, and he has at least six targets in four of his past five contests. And his upcoming schedule is great with Baltimore (Week 12), Atlanta (Week 13), Kansas City (Week 14) and Tampa Bay (Week 15), so hopefully he continues to be a go-to option for Justin Herbert down the stretch.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Scores touchdown in win
Rotowire
Dissly caught four of his six targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in the 27-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
It's officially time to take notice. Sunday marked the fifth time in the past six weeks Dissly has tallied six or more targets, and during that stretch he's led the team in targets on three separate occasions. The extra attention hasn't helped the seventh-year veteran tally a ton of additional production, but by pushing out Hayden Hurst as the team's pass-catching tight end, Dissly is playing enough consistently to warrant fantasy attention. A month-long stretch against porous defenses versus the pass, starting first with the Ravens in Week 12, also adds value to his burgeoning fantasy profile.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Sleepers (Start/Sit)
Rotowire
Dissly has scored at least 8.0 PPR points in three of his past four games, and he has at least six targets in three games over that span. In Week 10 against Tennessee, Justin Herbert attempted only 18 passes, but six of them went to Dissly, who finished with five catches for 30 yards. This week, Dissly is facing a Bengals defense that is No. 4 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. He has top-10 upside if Herbert continues to lean on Dissly in Week 11.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Week 11 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Dissly has scored at least 8.0 PPR points in three of his past four games, and he just had six targets in Week 10 against Tennessee in a game where Justin Herbert threw the ball 18 times. Dissly also has a great matchup in Week 11 against the Bengals, who are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. He's worth adding in all leagues for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Leads team in targets, receptions
Rotowire
Dissly caught five of his six targets for 30 yards in the 27-17 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Dissly led the team in targets and receptions, but he was effectively just a checkdown option in a game in which the Chargers attempted just 18 passes total. The seventh-year veteran does seem to have pushed Hayden Hurst out of the pass-catching tight end platoon role, as Hurst played just eight snaps for a second consecutive week. The lack of volume in the Los Angeles pass attacking will limit Dissly's fantasy production most weeks.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Targeted three times in win
Rotowire
Dissly caught two of his three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Browns.
Dissly led all Chargers tight ends in playing time Sunday, logging 39 of 57 offensive snaps in the contest. Fellow tight ends Eric Tomlinson and Hayden Hurst played 16 and eight snaps, respectively. Dissly's nine yards accounted for his lowest mark of the season, and was especially disappointing after he had produced a 13-122-0 receiving line on 18 targets across the previous two contests. Hurst missed both of those games with a groin injury, and though Hurst isn't expected to handle a major role moving forward, his return to action in Week 9 looks as though it could suppress Dissly's snap and target counts moving forward.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Good to go against Browns
Rotowire
Dissly (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Browns after practicing without limitations Friday.
The same applies to fellow tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) -- who has missed two straight games -- so Dissly could lose some volume in Week 9 after racking up 18 targets in Weeks 7 and 8. In that context, he profiles as a hit-or-miss fantasy option, especially with wideouts Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston (who had missed back-to-back contests) and Joshua Palmer slated to play Sunday.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Week 9 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Dissly has become a viable weapon for the Chargers in the past two games with 18 targets, and he scored at least 9.1 PPR points over that span against the Cardinals and Saints. We'll see if this continues, but Dissly is worth adding in deeper leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Active versus New Orleans
Rotowire
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game versus the Saints.
After returning to a limited practice Friday, Dissly approached the contest listed as questionable. With his Sunday availability confirmed and fellow TE Hayden Hurst (groin) inactive, Dissly -- who caught eight of his 11 targets for 81 yards in the Chargers' 17-15 loss to the Cardinals this past Monday -- offers a lineup option for those in need of tight-end help in Week 8.
