Deon Bush: Joins practice squad in KC
Bush was signed to the Chiefs' practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Bush was let go by Kansas City on Tuesday after he produced six total tackles (three solo) with the team during the preseason. The safety has spent the last two seasons with the Chiefs, and the team likely won't hesitate to elevate him to the active roster if needed.

Chiefs' Deon Bush: Staying in KC
Bush intends to re-sign with the Chiefs on a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After spending his first six seasons in Chicago, Bush is set to start his third straight campaign in Kansas City. He played in just six games during the 2023 season and was primarily used on special teams. The veteran turns 31 years old in August and projects for a similar role with the club in the upcoming season should he again earn a spot on the 53-man roster.

Chiefs' Deon Bush: Back with Chiefs
Bush has agreed to a one-year deal with the Chiefs, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Bush, who turns 30 in August, recorded just 11 tackles in 16 games with Kansas City last season, numbers that kept him off the IDP radar. However, in addition to continuing to provide the team with depth at safety, the 2016 fourth-rounder will also reprise his role as a core special-teamer for the Chiefs in 2023.

Bush (illness) is considered questionable to play Saturday against Seattle.
Bush missed Week 13 against Cincinnati due to an elbow injury but has been able to play each of the past two weeks. However, he logged only one defensive snap over those two games combined while recording 43 special-teams snaps. As such, if Bush misses Week 16, there won't be a significant impact on Kansas City's defensive rotations.
