Havenstein missed the final two games of the regular season, but coach Sean McVay has said he expects the veteran right tackle to play in Monday night's wild-card playoff contest against the Vikings. Havenstein's return would be a boost against Minnesota's blitz-happy defense.

Rams' Rob Havenstein: Expects to play vs. Vikings
Coach Sean McVay said Monday that he expects Havenstein (shoulder) to play in next Monday night's wild-card game versus Minnesota, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Havenstein missed the Rams' last two games of the regular season with a shoulder issue, but it looks like he'll be ready to return for Monday's game versus the Vikings. He'll resume his regular post at right tackle and try to slow down the pass-rushing duo of Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel.

Havenstein suffered an ankle injury Week 9 against Seattle and hasn't played since then. He was at least able to log a pair of limited sessions to end the week after not practicing at all the previous two weeks, but his tag of doubtful suggests he's unlikely to suit up against Philadelphia. Either Warren McClendon or Joe Noteboom will likely start at right tackle Sunday if Havenstein is indeed unable to play.

Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Monday that Havenstein (ankle) is "trending in the right direction" to possibly return against the Eagles in Week 12, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Havenstein has missed each of the Rams' last two games after sustaining an ankle injury in the team's Week 9 win over the Seahawks. However, McVay's comments Monday suggest he's nearing a return to the field. Havenstein's practice participation throughout the week will likely provide the best indication of whether he can return when the Rams host the Eagles in Week 12.

Havenstein didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday after missing the Rams' Week 10 loss to the Dolphins due to an ankle injury, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined for the second consecutive game Sunday.
