The Redskins released WR Jabar Gaffney, nearly three weeks after telling him they would try to trade him. Gaffney had career and team highs in catches (68) and yards (947) in 2011. But the Redskins wanted more yards after the catch -- he averaged only 2.7 in that area. They signed Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan in free agency and have second-year Leonard Hankerson, whom they really like.
