There was plenty to like about the 49ers in their Week 1 game against the Packers. Alex Smith continues to look like a legit NFL quarterback, David Akers smoked a 63-yard field goal to end the first half, and tight end Vernon Davis made a nifty touchdown catch midway through the third quarter to give San Francisco a 23-7 lead.
In fact, the worst thing you can say about their performance Sunday was Davis getting rim-checked after he scored:
