Mac’s Football Blog reports DE Tyson Jackson restructured his contract, largely for Chiefs salary cap purposes. Essentially, the final year (2014) of his deal has been voided, meaning he’s signed through the 2013 season. By moving the money around, he’ll receive over $8 million this season, but that’s a cap savings of $1.25 million for the Chiefs. He’ll see $14.72 million in 2013, but only $3.22 million of that is guaranteed.
