QB Trent Edwards didn’t take any reps during 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills at Thursday's minicamp practice, which is not a good sign for him as he battles Mike Kafka for the backup QB job. Edwards did get in some work after practice, throwing passes to three undrafted rookie WRs -- Elvis Akpla, McKay Jacobson and Mardy Gilyard.
