The Chargers signed RB Ronnie Brown (Eagles) last Friday, who is expected to compete for a backup role with RB Curtis Brinkley. Despite the addition of Brown, coach Norv Turner still expects RB Ryan Mathews to have a dramatically expanded workload next season. “I don’t think it will affect Ryan,” Turner said of the addition of Brown. Turner elaborated that he plans to use Brown in specific situations suited for Brown’s skill set.
