Magic's Cole Anthony: Stays hot in win
Anthony scored 25 points (11-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), dished four assists, grabbed three boards and recorded two steals in Sunday's 102-99 win over the 76ers.
It seemed as though he had taken a leap at times last season, but Anthony has remained a backup during the current campaign. However, with Jalen Suggs (back) out again Sunday, Anthony stepped into the starting lineup and delivered once again. He's now averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the last five games with the first unit, his only starts of the season. Suggs remains day-to-day, and until he can return, Anthony should continue to start. His next opportunity to take the floor comes Wednesday against the Bucks.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Hits for 18 in Friday's loss
Anthony logged 18 points (5-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Friday's 109-106 loss to Milwaukee.
Making his fourth straight start, Anthony produced another solid stat line. He's supplied at least 12 points in all four starts, averaging 16.5 points, 5.3 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.0 threes, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals, and his role in the Orlando backcourt could grow even further if the knee injury Kentavious Caldwell-Pope picked up Friday ends up putting him on the shelf next to Jalen Suggs (back).

Magic's Cole Anthony: Sparks offense in starting lineup
Anthony ended with 12 points (5-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five assists, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals over 27 minutes in Thursday's 104-89 loss to Minnesota.
Anthony remained in the starting lineup Thursday as Jalen Suggs recovers from a back injury, providing a lift to Orlando offensively while leading all Magic players in assists and concluding as one of five players with a double-digit point total. Anthony has reached double figures in scoring in 10 outings this season, handing out five or more dimes in three of those contests.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Leads Orlando in scoring
Anthony produced 24 points (9-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 103-94 victory over the Knicks.
With Jalen Suggs (back) joining Paolo Banchero (oblique) and Franz Wagner (oblique) in street clothes Monday, Anthony saw a prominent offensive role. He led the team in scoring and reached the 20-point mark for the second time in 2024-25. Don't rule Anthony out from being a viable offensive weapon for the Magic as long as he continues to start in a depleted backcourt. However, Suggs and Banchero may return to action later this week.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Struggles from field
Anthony accumulated 12 points (5-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds and three blocks over 28 minutes during Sunday's 105-92 loss to the Jazz.
Anthony had a solid showing as a defensive presence, particularly with his three blocks, but the shooting woes can't be overlooked. Anthony made his first start of the season Sunday and could remain in that role due to the absence of other guards such as Jalen Suggs (back), Anthony Black (back) and Gary Harris (hamstring), which should translate into an uptick in his fantasy upside for Anthony.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Starting vs. Utah
Anthony is in the Magic's starting lineup against the Jazz on Sunday.
Anthony will be making his first start of the 2024-25 regular-season Sunday due to Jalen Suggs (back) being injured, while Anthony Black will come off the bench. Anthony has averaged 8.8 points, 4.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds over 16.3 minutes per game over his last 10 outings.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Hits game-winning shot
Anthony posted 10 points (3-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 17 minutes during Sunday's 102-101 win over Brooklyn.
Anthony produced the game-winning shot Sunday, stepping up in the absence of Jalen Suggs who exited the game early with a wrist sprain. Anthony has had a minor role for most of the season, but he would offer plenty of streaming appeal if Suggs ends up missing time. Orlando's next game isn't until Jan. 1 against Detroit, however.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Muted role in loss Thursday
Anthony provided zero points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 12 minutes during Thursday's 89-88 loss to Miami.
Anthony had a limited impact Thursday after reaching double-digit points in two consecutive outings. The 24-year-old went scoreless against Miami, and he played fewer than 15 minutes for the third time in his last five appearances, during which he has averaged 10.4 points, 4.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds across 15.6 minutes per contest.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Explodes for 35 points Saturday
Anthony closed with 35 points (13-25 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), eight rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal over 28 minutes during Saturday's 121-114 win over the Heat.
Anthony entered this game averaging career-low marks in several categories, including points (5.1) and assists (2.0) per game. However, he came out of nowhere to post a loaded stat line while finishing just one assist and two rebounds away from a triple-double. There's a strong chance this 35-point effort will end up being just a one-time thing for Anthony, but the five-year veteran could be in line to see more minutes in the coming games given how depleted the Magic are right now, particularly when it comes to the backcourt depth with Jalen Suggs (ankle) sidelined.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Full stat line off bench
Anthony finished with 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Sunday's 115-110 victory over the Suns.
Although it was rookie first-rounder Tristan da Silva who entered Orlando's starting lineup for the injured Franz Wagner (oblique), it was Anthony who absorbed the lion's share of Wagner's vacated playing time and supplied a full stat line Sunday. Anthony's 29 minutes were a season-high figure, and it would appear initially the 24-year-old guard will be one of the main beneficiaries of Wagner's indefinite absence after Anthony previously held an inconsistent role in the second unit thus far this season. Given the uncertainty surrounding head coach Jamahl Mosley's rotation on a nightly basis going forward, fantasy managers in most leagues should still take a wait-and-see approach before adding Anthony off waiver wires, but he's worth a speculative pickup in deep leagues for the time being.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Thrives off bench Monday
Anthony registered 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds and four assists across 27 minutes during Monday's 95-84 victory over the Hornets.
Anthony tied his best scoring output of the season in Monday's low-scoring win, but fantasy managers shouldn't get overly enthusiastic about this performance. Anthony has scored in double digits twice this season and is averaging a modest 9.3 minutes per game over his last 10 appearances. Even as depleted as the Magic are right now, the fact that Anthony doesn't see more minutes off the bench is a testament to how deep he sits on the team's depth chart.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Makes impact off bench
Anthony notched 16 points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT) and two rebounds across 15 minutes during Sunday's 121-94 victory over Washington.
Orlando handled business early on in this contest, allowing Anthony to get some extra run. He made the most of his newfound minutes with a season-high mark of 16 points. Given his minimal role so far this season, fantasy managers will not want to overreact to this outlier performance.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Minimal action in loss
Anthony closed with two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 FT), one rebound and two assists in eight minutes during Friday's 120-109 loss to Cleveland.
After being a heavily featured part of Orlando's bench backcourt in the first two games of the season, Anthony has averaged just 6.8 minutes per contest over his last four appearances. Unless Anthony begins to receive more playing time, he is unlikely to garner significant fantasy interest.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Catches DNP-CD on Wednesday
Anthony was a DNP-Coach's Decision for Wednesday's loss to the Bulls.
Per Sports Illustrated's Mason Williams, Anthony stated, "[I] wasn't playing that well, me and [Magic coach Jamahl Mosley] had a conversation. He keeps it a buck with me, I'm gonna keep it a buck with him. And I mean, this is what happens. It's a business, man." The guard has scored just eight points on 18.8 percent shooting to begin the season. As he's struggled, sophomores Anthony Black and Jett Howard have found more consistent run this season.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Limited run in loss
Anthony recorded four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two assists and one steal over eight minutes during Saturday's 124-111 loss to the Grizzlies.
Anthony was efficient shooting the rock but saw only eight minutes of action Saturday. The 24-year-old's minutes have gradually decreased over the last three years, and the guard has taken a backseat to Jalen Suggs and Anthony Black three games into the 2024-25 season. Anthony is only expected to serve as a streaming option given Orlando's depth this season.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Productive off bench Monday
Anthony delivered 11 points (3-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists and a steal across 14 minutes off the bench in Monday's 106-104 preseason loss to the Pelicans.
Anthony didn't need a lot of minutes to make an impact off the bench in the preseason opener, and while his three-point shooting wasn't good, he still ended as one of three Orlando players with double-digit points. Anthony is expected to open the regular season as Jalen Suggs' primary backup at point guard, but that role shouldn't translate to a lot of fantasy upside outside of very deep formats and dynasty leagues.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Closes game Friday
Anthony accumulated nine points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 19 minutes during Friday's 103-96 win over the Cavaliers in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Anthony closed the game Friday, providing the Magic with some much-needed floor spacing. With Gary Harris (hamstring) unavailable, Anthony slid into a larger role. That could stick for Game 7 should Harris remain sidelined.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Another poor outing
Anthony produced three points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, three assists and one steal over 15 minutes during Saturday's 112-89 win over the Cavaliers in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Aside from a 10-point outing in Game 3, Anthony has scored only seven points (1-15 FG) during the postseason thus far. He averaged 11.5 points on 43.5 percent shooting during the regular season.
