Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Looking at May activation
Orioles general manager Mike Elias said Tuesday that Rogers (knee) could be activated from the 15-day injured list sometime in May, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Recovering from a right knee subluxation, Rogers is slated for live batting practice next week at the Orioles' spring training complex in Florida. If that goes well, the left-hander shouldn't be far off from a rehab assignment. Rogers does have minor-league options remaining and isn't a given to be added to the major-league roster once healthy.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Lands on 15-day injured list
The Orioles placed Rogers on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a right knee subluxation, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Rogers suffered the injury back in January and, at last check, remained limited to throwing on flat ground. He remains without a timeline to make his season debut, and he could be optioned to Triple-A Norfolk once he's healthy.

Rogers (knee) remains limited to flat-ground work but hopes to throw off a mound before the end of spring training, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Rogers is recovering from a right knee subluxation, which he suffered in January. The left-hander has been able to continue throwing since the injury, so his ramp-up might not take terribly long. However, Rogers will not be part of the Orioles' Opening Day roster, instead being assigned to the Triple-A Norfolk rotation once he's physically ready.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Throwing again, but not off mound
Rogers (knee) said Monday that he's resumed throwing off flat ground, but he's still a few weeks away from throwing off of a mound, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Rogers is recovering from a right knee subluxation, an injury that has taken him out of contention for a spot in Baltimore's Opening Day rotation. Assuming Rogers is cleared to resume mound work by mid-to-late March, he'll likely need close to a month to get fully stretched out for starting duty. The Orioles may not have a rotation spot available for Rogers by that point in April, however, so the southpaw may have to work out of the bullpen when healthy until a starting gig reopens.

Rogers is unlikely to be ready for Opening Day after suffering a right knee subluxation in January, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Per general manager Mike Elias, Rogers is weeks behind schedule and it's not clear when he might be ready to ramp things up again. The left-hander was looking like a long shot to make the Opening Day rotation, anyway, and now he's facing an additional hurdle. Rogers held a 4.92 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 97:56 K:BB across 124.1 innings in 2024 between the Marlins and Orioles before spending the final month of the regular season in the minors.

The Orioles and Rogers avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.6 million contract Thursday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Rogers managed a disappointing 4.92 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 97:56 K:BB across 124.1 innings in 2024 between the Marlins and Orioles. The left-hander finished the season in the minors and would appear to currently be on the outside looking in for a rotation spot in Baltimore.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Visiting Driveline for velo gains
Rogers has been training at Driveline Baseball in Arizona this offseason in hopes of regaining some velocity, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
Rogers averaged just 91.9 mph with his four-seamer in 2024, which was down 1.3 mph from 2023 and nearly three mph from its peak in 2022. Testing at Driveline revealed that Rogers' lower-body strength was lacking, and he believes getting a stronger lower half will allow him to rediscover a few ticks on his fastball. The pitcher also noted that he entered the offseason fully healthy for the first time in a couple years, which has allowed him "to do things in the weight room that I have not been able to do." Rogers posted a 4.92 ERA and 97:56 K:BB over 124.1 innings between the Marlins and Orioles in 2024 and spent the final five weeks of the season in the minors. He'll have to compete for a job in Baltimore's rotation, but upping his velocity will give him a better chance to bounce back in 2025.
