  • Mets' Juan Soto: Power surge continues

Soto went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Nationals. After striking out in his first at-bat of the night, Soto continued to take revenge on the team he made his big-league debut with in 2018, lofting a Jake Irvin curveball over the fence in right field in the third inning. Soto's gone yard in the first two games of the series, continuing a hot stretch that's seen him slash a jaw-dropping .390/.545/.829 over his last 12 games with five of his 13 homers on the year, while adding 10 RBI and 15 runs.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Clubs 12th homer

Soto went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an RBI double and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Nationals. Soto notched his third multi-hit game in his last four outings and belted his 12th long ball of the campaign. The veteran outfielder struggled to open the year, slashing .224/.352/.393 -- all career lows -- but he has shown signs of life recently. In his last 11 games, Soto is 14-for-37 (.378) with four homers, eight RBI, 14 runs and a 13:5 BB:K.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Collects three hits

Soto went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Friday's 4-2 win over Colorado. Soto reached base safely four times and crossed home plate in the seventh and ninth innings. This was his 14th multi-hit game of the season and his first three-hit game in the regular season since last September with the Yankees. Soto has reached base safely in nine consecutive games and has gone 9-for-30 (.300) with two doubles, three home runs and six RBI over that span.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Belts homer in loss

Soto went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers. Soto sparked the Mets' comeback effort with his third-inning homer. He has an extra-base hit in five straight games, going 6-for-18 (.333) with three homers, five RBI and two doubles in that span. Prior to Soto's recent turnaround in the power department, he had endured a brutal 16-game stretch in which he had just one extra-base hit, a double, while going 7-for-59 (.119). That slump has done damage to his overall numbers, as he's at a .233/.361/.438 slash line through 60 contests. The outfielder has added 11 homers, seven stolen bases, 30 RBI, 39 runs scored and 12 doubles this season.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Homers again in win

Soto went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Rockies. Soto was hit by a pitch and scored in the fourth inning before providing the Mets' bullpen with some insurance via a solo shot in the eighth. The 26-year-old entered the weekend mired in an 0-for-14 skid but broke out with four hits, including a double and two home runs, across three games against the Rockies. On the season, he's slashing .233/.363/.429 with 10 long balls, 28 RBI, 38 runs scored and seven steals over 259 plate appearances.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Two hits in Friday's win

Soto went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Friday's win over the Rockies. The 26-year-old has endured a rough May, slashing .119/.260/.136 over his prior 16 games with just one extra-base hit (a double), but Soto showed signs of life at the plate Friday with an RBI double into the right-center gap in the third inning. He may be feeling the weight of his $765 million contract, but Soto is too good of a hitter to remain in this deep of a slump for much longer.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Steals another bag

Soto went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Yankees. The superstar outfielder isn't known for his prowess on the basepaths -- his career high in steals is 12, a mark he last reached in 2023 -- but Soto has now successfully swiped a bag in three straight games and is a perfect 5-for-5 through 45 contests as a Met. He's also drawn 14 free passes through 14 games in May, helping to boost his slash line on the year to .252/.386/.454 with eight homers, 20 RBI and 33 runs.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Draws three walks in Bronx return

Soto went 0-for-2 with three walks, one steal and one run scored in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Yankees. Soto wasn't able to record a hit in his return to Yankee Stadium, but he drew a season-high three walks and recorded his fourth steal of the year in the first inning. Soto has gone 13-for-47 with 12 walks, 11 runs scored, two steals, five home runs and eight RBI since the beginning of May.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Receiving first day off

Soto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates. After starting in each of the Mets' first 43 games of the season, Soto will hit the bench in what appears to be a planned rest day. With the Mets off Thursday, Soto will effectively get two days to rest up before he returns to The Bronx for a three-game series against his former Yankees squad this weekend. Jose Azocar will replace Soto in right field in the series finale versus Pittsburgh.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Heating up in May

Soto went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Friday's win over the Cubs. The $765 million man had something of a quiet start to his tenure with the Mets, but Soto is catching fire in May. Five of his eight homers on the season have come in eight games this month, including a solo shot off Jameson Taillon in the fourth inning Friday, and over that stretch Soto is batting .367 (11-for-30) with seven RBI, nine runs and a 7:5 BB:K.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Two homers in win

Soto went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and three total RBI in Wednesday's 7-1 win over Arizona. Soto snapped a scoreless tie in the sixth inning with a 427-foot blast off Merrill Kelly before launching a second solo shot off lefty Jalen Beeks in the eighth. Soto would then cap the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the ninth. It's the second multi-homer game this year for Soto (both coming against Arizona), and he's up to seven long balls this season. He's gone 9-for-26 (.346) with six extra-base hits in his last seven contests, boosting his season slash line to .261/.385/.478 with 17 RBI, 29 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases across 169 plate appearances.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Launches two homers in loss

Soto went 2-for-3 with a pair of solo home runs in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. Soto accounted for all of the Mets' offense in Thursday's defeat. He got New York on the board with an opposite-field blast off Zac Gallen in the sixth inning before smacking a second homer, his fifth of the year, off Kevin Ginkel in the eighth. It's certainly a positive sign for Soto, who'd gone 0-for-7 in the first two games of the series. The star outfielder is now slashing .252/.379/.443 with 23 runs scored, 14 RBI and a pair of stolen bases through 140 plate appearances this year.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Second straight two-hit game

Soto went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored Monday in the Mets' 19-5 win over the Nationals. After turning in his second straight two-hit performance, Soto is now slashing .257/.378/.410 over 127 plate appearances. Though he's been an above-average performer with a 124 wRC+ and more walks (21) than strikeouts (19) through his first 29 games with the Mets, Soto's counting totals (three home runs, two steals, 21 runs and 12 RBI) have been somewhat disappointing relative to what his investors expected on draft day. That said, Soto has a long track record of elite production in the big leagues and doesn't have any major red flags in his underlying hitting metrics early on this season, so fantasy managers should expect his home-run output and batting average to pick up as the weather warms.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Multi-hit performance in win

Soto went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Cardinals. Soto notched a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third, a single in the fifth and a walk in the seventh inning before adding a two-RBI double in the eighth. The outfielder has notched back-to-back multi-hit performances after going nine straight games without one. Soto is now batting .256 with three home runs, 12 RBI, 16 runs scored and two stolen bases over 22 contests this season.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Lifts two-run homer vs. Twins

Soto went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Monday against the Twins. Monday marked just the second long ball of the season for Soto, who got his first hit of the year with a runner in scoring position on a 405-foot shot to center field in the seventh inning. Despite what seems to be a quiet start by the perennial All-Star's lofty standards, Soto is slashing a respectable .250/.400/.429 with four doubles, six RBI, one stolen base and 14 walks over 70 plate appearances (16 games) so far.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Drives in lone run

Soto went 1-for-3 with one walk and an RBI in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Astros. Soto drove in the Mets' lone run Saturday on a fielder's choice in the sixth inning, though it was thanks to Jose Siri's savvy base running that New York got on the board. Soto has opened his Mets tenure 3-for-9 with four walks, one home run and two RBI. Following Sunday's team off day is a three-game road series against the Marlins that begins Monday.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Launches first homer of year

Soto went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's win over the Astros. The $765 million man crushed a Hunter Brown cutter off the facing of the second deck in right field in the third inning. It was Soto's first homer as a Met, but he's already shown his value at the top of the order, reaching base in five of his first nine plate appearances with his new club. The 26-year-old has never posted an OBP below .400 in his big-league career, and he doesn't seem interested in breaking that streak in 2025.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Reaches base thrice in Mets debut

Soto went 1-for-3 with two walks and one strikeout during Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Astros. It didn't take long for Soto to register his first hit in a Mets uniform, knocking a single off Framber Valdez into center field. Soto earned free passes in two of his next three plate appearances, and he had the chance to sneak out a win in the ninth inning, but he chased on an outside slider from Josh Hader for the game-ending strikeout. Soto will look to give the Mets a bigger punch with his bat Friday against right-hander Tylor Megill, whom Soto has cracked two home runs across 11 plate appearances.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Belts solo homer in first Mets AB

Soto went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional RBI during Saturday's Grapefruit League opener against the Astros. The biggest offseason acquisition in franchise history, Soto wasted no time showing Mets fans a taste of what's to come by taking Colton Gordon deep in the first inning. Soto helped the Mets extend their lead in the second frame, grounding into a fielder's choice RBI before reaching home for his second run of the day. Soto was sandwiched in between Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso in the batting order, and Soto figures to bat second for the Mets in 2025 as he did with the Yankees for most of the 2024 regular season.

  • Mets' Juan Soto: Spring debut coming Saturday

Soto will be in the lineup for the Mets' Grapefruit League opener against the Astros on Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Manager Carlos Mendoza will be writing a number of regulars onto the lineup card, including Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso, but all eyes will be on the Mets' new $765 million superstar. Soto slashed .288/.419/.569 over 157 games for the Yankees in 2024 with a career-high 41 homers, and while the switch in home ballparks could hurt his power numbers a bit, the 26-year-old should remain one of baseball's preeminent offensive threats.
