Red Sox's Danny Jansen: Set to make history
Jansen will be the catcher Monday when the continuation of a suspended game between the Red Sox and Blue Jays resumes, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports. The two teams will continue a game that was suspended June 27.
If the continuation goes off as planned, Jansen will become the first player in MLB history to appear in the same game for both teams. Jansen, who was traded from Toronto to Boston on July 27, was at the plate for the Blue Jays with one out and an 0-1 count in the top of the second inning when play was halted. The game will be part of a day-night doubleheader.

Red Sox's Danny Jansen: Homers in loss
Jansen went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Royals.
Jansen has gone 6-for-14 over four contests since he was acquired via trade from the Blue Jays. The catcher has settled into a backup role behind Connor Wong, though Wong can also play first base to give Jansen a path to some at-bats. Jansen, who was acquired from the Blue Jays on Saturday, made his debut for Boston. The catcher served as the DH and gives the Red Sox a needed right-handed bat that can harm lefties, against whom Jansen has a .718 OPS this season.
