  • Brewers' Eddie Rosario: Lands with Brewers

Rosario signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Rosario became a free agent Sunday after being pushed off Atlanta's 40-man roster, and he'll now attempt to work his way back to the majors with Milwaukee. The 33-year-old outfielder is 1-for-8 in three MLB games this season but has slashed an impressive .339/.406/.542 in Triple-A.

  • Eddie Rosario: Heads to open market

Atlanta announced Sunday that Rosario elected free agency after clearing waivers, Barrett Sallee of 680 The Fan Atlanta reports. Rather than accepting an outright assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett, Rosario will explore his options on the open market before deciding on his next stop. After being designated for assignment by the Dodgers in late April, Rosario elected free agency and quickly caught on with Atlanta on a one-year deal. He appeared in just three games over his two weeks with the big club before being dropped from the 40-man roster May 9.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: DFA'd by Atlanta

Atlanta designated Rosario for assignment Friday. The veteran outfielder inked a one-year deal with Atlanta in late April and played just three games over the past couple weeks, going 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. Rosario will be jettisoned from the 40-man roster in favor of Luke Williams, who had his contract selected Friday.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Gets spot on big-league roster

Rosario signed a one-year contract with Atlanta on Monday. Rosario will join Atlanta ahead of its three-game series in Colorado that begins Monday. The 33-year-old will begin his third stint in the Atlanta organization and could end up filling the strong side of a platoon in right field with Eli White until Ronald Acuna (knee) is ready to return from the injured list. Rosario struggled to a .531 OPS over 319 plate appearances between Washington and Atlanta in 2024 and logged four plate appearances with the Dodgers earlier this month before being cast off the 40-man roster and electing free agency. Before the Dodgers called him up April 18, the veteran outfielder had been hitting well at Triple-A Oklahoma City, slashing .339/.406/.542 with two home runs and three steals in 14 games.

  • Eddie Rosario: Elects free agency

Rosario will enter free agency after declining an outright assignment from the Dodgers on Friday. Rosario was DFA'd by the Dodgers on April 20. As a veteran with requisite experience, Rosario opted to reject an assignment to the minors and will look to join a team in need of outfield depth. The 33-year-old appeared in 91 regular-season games between Washington and Atlanta in 2024 and slashed .175/.215/.316 with nine stolen bases, 33 runs scored, 10 home runs and 35 RBI in 319 plate appearances.

  • Dodgers' Eddie Rosario: Designated for assignment

The Dodgers designated Rosario for assignment Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. The veteran outfielder joined the big-league roster Friday with Shohei Ohtani landing on the paternity list, but it will be a short stay in the majors with Ohtani rejoining the club Sunday. Rosario went 1-for-4 with a double in his two games with the team. Assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed, he could elect free agency or return to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he has a .948 OPS through 14 contests this year.

  • Dodgers' Eddie Rosario: Selected from OKC

The Dodgers selected Rosario's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports. With Shohei Ohtani away from the team for the birth of his first child, Rosario will come up from the minors to fill the void on the actvie roster. The 33-year-old has impressed while in Triple-A, slashing .339/.406/.542 with two homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored and three stolen bases through 14 games, but he shouldn't be expected to contribute much while with the Dodgers. Edgardo Henriquez (foot) was transferred to the 60-day IL to make room for Rosario on the 40-man roster.

  • Dodgers' Eddie Rosario: Reassigned to minor-league camp

Rosario was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Dodgers on Tuesday. Rosario signed a minor-league deal with Los Angeles in February and he'll now likely open the regular season with Triple-A Oklahoma City. The outfielder struggled to a .154 average with two home runs, five RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base over 26 at-bats in 12 games during spring training.

  • Dodgers' Eddie Rosario: Lands in Los Angeles

Rosario signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Saturday that includes an invitation to spring training, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Rosario endured the worst season of his MLB career last year, slashing .175/.215/.316 with 35 RBI and nine stolen bases across 319 plate appearances between Washington and Atlanta. He'll now look to bounce back with the Dodgers, though the amount of talent Los Angeles has on its big-league roster bodes poorly for Rosario's chances of getting reps in the majors.

  • Eddie Rosario: Let go by Mets

The Mets released Rosario on Sunday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. Rosario has now parted ways with three teams in the National League East this season alone, as he was previously cut loose by Washington and Atlanta. Unlike those previous two stops, Rosario never received a look at the big-league level with the Mets, as he was assigned to Triple-A Syracuse upon signing with the organization on a minor-league deal earlier this month. He saw action in seven games for Syracuse, slashing .103/.133/.310 with eight strikeouts in 30 plate appearances.

  • Mets' Eddie Rosario: Gets minors deal from Mets

Rosario signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Tuesday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports. Rosario elected free agency Sunday after being DFA'd by Atlanta, and he didn't have to wait long for another opportunity. The 32-year-old has taken a major step back at the plate this season, slashing just .175/.215/.316 across 319 plate appearances between Atlanta and Washington, though he could claim a bench spot in New York if he's able to turn things around with Triple-A Syracuse.

  • Eddie Rosario: Hits open market

Rosario elected free agency Sunday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The 32-year-old rejected an outright assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett after being designated for assignment by Atlanta, and he'll now return to free agency. Rosario has a .175/.215/.316 slash line in 91 games between Washington and Atlanta this season.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Outrighted to Gwinnett

Rosario cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to Triple-A Gwinnett, Grant McAuley of 92.9 The Game Atlanta reports. Rosario was dropped from the 40-man roster Thursday after slashing just .154/.181/.282 in 24 plate appearances with Atlanta. No other team was willing to take a chance on the 32-year-old outfielder, so he'll remain stashed away in Atlanta's farm system as organizational depth.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Getting rare day off versus righty

Rosario is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers. Atlanta is facing a right-handed starter (Freddy Peralta) for the ninth game in a row Wednesday, but the lefty-hitting Rosario will give way to the right-handed-hitting Adam Duvall for the first time during that stretch. Manager Brian Snitker might have just wanted to get Duvall some work to keep him sharp at the plate, but Rosario hasn't done much to justify maintaining a strong-side platoon role. Since joining Atlanta on July 8, Rosario is slashing .154/.181/.282 with a 27.4 percent strikeout rate.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Pilfers bag in Wednesday's win

Rosario went 0-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Brewers. He got the start in left field, batting sixth against right-hander Freddy Peralta, but Rosario was replaced by Adam Duvall in the seventh inning with lefty Jared Koenig on the mound. Trade deadline acquisition Jorge Soler is expected to start in right field going forward, but Duvall and Rosario seem headed for a platoon in left, with the latter on the strong side of that arrangement. Manager Brian Snitker likely won't hesitate to play the hot hand if one of the two significantly out-produces the other, however. Rosario is batting just .189 (7-for-37) over his last 12 games, but he does have three home runs and eight RBI over that stretch.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Idle vs. lefty

Rosario is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Mets. The lefty-hitting Rosario will retreat to the dugout Sunday with the Mets sending southpaw David Peterson to the mound. Luke Williams will start in left field and bat ninth.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Goes yard in both ends of twin bill

Rosario went 3-for-7 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI across both ends of Saturday's doubleheader split with the Cardinals. After taking Ryan Fernandez deep in the seventh inning of the matinee for a game-tying two-run blast, Rosario clubbed a solo shot off Sonny Gray in the sixth inning of the nightcap. It was the veteran outfielder's first homers and first RBI in nine games for Atlanta this season, and he's batting just .219 (7-for-32) since returning to the club. With Atlanta's front office rumored to be looking for outfield help at the trade deadline, Rosario may need to heat up quickly if he wants to hang onto a significant role with the team down the stretch.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Getting seventh straight start

Rosario will start in left field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Padres. Since signing a minor-league deal with Atlanta on July 5 and earning a promotion to the big leagues four days later, Rosario has moved into a strong-side platoon role in the outfield. He'll pick up a seventh straight start -- all against right-handed pitchers -- after going 4-for-21 with a double and three runs over his first six games with Atlanta.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Added to Atlanta roster

Atlanta selected Rosario's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday. Rosario needed just three games at Gwinnett to convince Atlanta he was ready for a shot at the big-league level, going 3-for-11 with one home run and one triple. The 32-year-old slashed just .183/.226/.329 in 235 plate appearances this season before being cut loose by the Nationals, but while with Atlanta in 2023, he hit .255/.305/.450 with 21 home runs over 142 games. Rosario will likely receive regular playing time in left field against right-handed pitching while Atlanta scrambles to find outfield production due to Ronald Acuna (knee) and Michael Harris (hamstring) being out.

  • Braves' Eddie Rosario: Back with Atlanta on MiLB deal

Atlanta signed Rosario to a minor-league contract Friday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. After Rosario was released by the Nationals earlier this week, his return to Atlanta seemed inevitable. The veteran outfielder slashed an ugly .183/.226/.329 in Washington, but last year in Atlanta he posted a .755 OPS with 21 home runs as its primary left fielder. Rosario will report to Triple-A Gwinnett for now but should get an opportunity with the big club sooner rather than later.
