Many Mets fans were growing impatient watching Juan Soto, who signed the richest contract in professional sports history this offseason, struggle to begin his first year in Queens. With how the 2025 MLB season has begun, there's nothing like seeing the Colorado Rockies to counter a slow start. Soto hit two home runs as the Mets swept the Rockies over the weekend in New York, and they'll take the cross-country flight to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers to begin a three-game series on Monday with the over/under at 9.5 total runs in Game 1 at 10:10 p.m. ET. After his breakout weekend, Soto could be a popular selection for MLB home run picks and MLB player props on betting sites on Monday's slate.
The latest MLB home run odds list Soto at +450, and our model loves the left-handed hitter to go yard for the third straight game at more than 4-1 odds. Juan Soto, Mets (+450)
Soto hit back-to-back home runs for just the third time this season and with an extra-base hit in three straight games, the Mets are receiving more of the production they expected with the massive contract. Soto is below his season pace with 10 home runs over 56 games this season, but after hitting 41 and 35 home runs over the last two seasons, a power surge could be forming. A matchup against Dodgers right-handed pitcher Dustin May could be exactly what he's looking for.
"May has given up six home runs in his last five starts after allowing one home run in his first five starts," SportsLine data analyst Jacob Fetner said. "Soto has hit nine of his 10 home runs against RHPs, and we set his line at +330 to homer today." BetMGM is offereing the best odds at +450, but for this parlay, Soto is priced at +430 on FanDuel. Willy Adames, Giants (+750)
Although Adames is off to a slower start, the 29-year-old shortstop had 32 home runs last season and Fetner believes that power is still there. Fetner sees value in this matchup as well against Padres RHP Stephen Kolek, who allowed six runs against the Marlins on Tuesday and has a 7.71 ERA over his last three starts. Kolek recently allowed three home runs against the Mariners on May 16.
"This is a buy low on Adames with strong hitter conditions in San Francisco," Fetner said. "Adames has gone 16 straight games without a home run and has just five this season after signing a lucrative contract this past offseason with the Giants. Adames has all five of his home runs against RHPs, and we like this as a longshot play. We set his line at +600 to hit a home run." FanDuel has the best odds at +750. You can check out the latest FanDuel promo code here and play Adames at +750:
Zach Neto, Angels (+560)
Neto, in his third MLB season, has nine home runs over 40 games after hitting 23 home runs over 155 games in his first full MLB season last season. He's on pace to soar past his home run total and pace from last year. Neto has been crushing the ball far better than his traditional stats even indicate with the best launch angle sweet spot percentage (49.1) in baseball, while also ranking better than 91% of the sport in barrel percentage and 89% of the league in average exit velocity. The Angels begin a series at a smaller Fenway Park, and Neto has been even better away from home this year.
"Neto has been awesome on the road this season, slashing .312/.349/.584 compared to a .232/.276/.427 line at home," Fetner said. "Richard Fitts has been really good in his limited action so far this season, but he is still a rookie and hasn't gone very deep into games." Fetner noted the model sets Neto's home run line at +465, which creates strong value for +560 odds at FanDuel as a part of this parlay. The model also has picks on the Rockies vs. Marlins game and you can find them here.
